For a few Euros, its worth having a look around this building, which contains some interesting exhibits about the volcanic events of 1706 and later, art exhibitions (some very good sculpture upstairs) and good architecture. Not the biggest or best museum you will ever visit.

A visit to Garachico is not complete without going to this peaceful cloister with its Canarian pine pillars and collection of seashells. Some of the carvings on display were not altogether suitable for a monastery.

Entering this convent, means entering a place of rest and quietude. Nice original building with a well-equipped exposition hall. We visited an interesting exhibition about endemic plants of the Canary Islands.

Since there are not so many attractions in Garachico this is probably a place you also end up during your visit to this town. Small entrance fee, typical Canarian style building with inside patio (cypresses and grass) and wooden balconies. A few exhibition rooms and...More

This is an interesting and pleasant building, nice and shaded if it is a hot day. There are geological exhibits, with information on how Garachico was affected by the eruption of 1706, and a display of various mineral rocks from around the world; there is...More

For an entrance fee of 2 euros there is a detailed display regarding the volcanic eruptions that have helped shape this little town. It is in Spanish but is pretty self explanatory. There is also an amazing collection of fossils and shells from all over...More
