The great outdoors
Sep 2020
Lovely spot with a small, sheltered sandy beach set in the rocky coast. Easy walk to the Ermita, which has a large opening in the door so you can peer inside (a torch helps!). Excellent coastal path for walks.

We were there right at the end of the season, and it was still pretty busy; I imagine it gets very hard to park at more popular times.

Ermita de San Justa

Cute little chapel hidden beneath a rock! Almost like a scene from the Cornish coast! Lovely little coast walk from the beach and from here you can climb upwards and look over the headland towards another bigger beach. The waves crash Infront of you on the looming rocks a truly magical experience!

Pretty little beach, a few ancient sites - CAUTION WITH THE CAR PARK!
Oct 2018 • Couples
There is a car park with limited parking, a viewpoint from which you can see the Ermita de Santa Justa in the cliff near beach level, and on the cliff above, San Telmo tower. There is a small meson or café by the carpark which says it is open during the high season and weekends, shoulder season, but as we visited on the equivalent of a bank holiday weekend in mid-October and it was closed, the "April to October" it mentioned seemed to need a grain of salt. From there, there are paths leading down to the Santa Justa chapel and up to the San Telmo tower. Both are fairly long and have quite a bit of gradient. As I have some knee/mobility problems, it seemed impossible to tackle either. We were probably less than half an hour looking around but went back to our car to find that a rear side window had been smashed and a small bag taken from the car. As ours was the only car there with non-Spanish number plates, it's possibly we were targeted for that reason. Holiday weekend, no window repairs possible; rang national autoglass numbers, they said nothing till Mon. morning. Had to plug window with card, bin liner, and hope for best when temperature dropped from 28 that day to 14 the next with rain and high winds.

a good walk
Jun 2017
We had a good walk uphill to se the Ermita de Santa Justa, hidden in a corner of a small beach at the foot of the rocks. I wondered what life must be like there! Though we could see the place probably had some kind of wifi, a means to get in contact with the world.I might like a week in solitude there.

Santa Justa beach
Jul 2017 • Couples
Stayed two nights in Ubiarco, hostel Fimar. (BTW, very nice hostel). The beach is 10 min. walking from hostel. Views, fresh air. When you're there, there are two options to expand your hike. 1) go up on the hill on the right of the beach. Trough small bridge, stop by small church, and up to the top.
2) go up on the hill which on thr left of the beach.
Views from both Hills are spectacular
+ near the beach playground for kids
+ picnic tables around

Beautiful location.

Beautiful location. The beach is vast but the waves were very big . the sea was really rough. The little ermita built into the side of the rick was interesting. Not wheelchair accessible though.

A pretty beach with play area and views
Oct 2016 • Couples
We visited on a Thursday, out of main season and the local bar was not open. The beach is easily accessible but with limited parking spaces and has good paved paths to the bar, play area and the hermitage Santa Justa.

A little out of the way but worth a stop.
Jul 2016 • Family
We went out of the way to stop here. Parking was kind of cramped but we got lucky as someone was pulling out so we snagged their spot. Beach is pretty small by the areas standards but comes with a beautiful view. Not good for swimming as it is pretty rocky. The Ermita is up a path to the right of the beach. On the other side there is a little path that leads to some rocks on a cliff that is the perfect picture taking spot looking across at the church. There is a little restaurant here also but we didn't eat there.

Nice little spot

Great for a picnic or, as we did, just a rest from driving. Lovely views and very peaceful. Not sure I could find it again if I were back!
