This was a very cute little lake that we came upon, and quite glad we did. We were riding motorcycles and didn't pack our swimsuits but wish we had. Just a few families around splashing and lounging on the sandy beaches and granite boulders.

Up in the mountains, pristine lake with a beach and boats, great lunch, and a great day in the woods. Rode the motorcycle from NV, over Ebbetts Pass, spectacular narrow road with lots of camping places in CA, hiking trails, and much easier for folks...More

Runs for all ages and levels of ability and not the Tahoe traffic jams. 40 minutes max from Arnold so you ski, not sit in traffic.

Swam and canoed here and loved it. Hotel was great and would love to come back in the winter to snowboard and maybe skate on the frozen lake.

Is it difficult to get a campsite on a saturday in the summer? what is the likelihood that we will drive all the way down there and not be able to get a spot for the weekend?
