We use the local boat launch near this park but the park is gorgeous, have a view to die for, lots of green grassy areas and a very nice sheltered beach (when the wind is not coming right at you). Just beautiful!

The Benicia State Park is an excellent venue for running, walking and biking along the Carquinez Straights. Striking views and beautiful hills make this an ideal place to relax and recharge .

This area is exercise friendly. It's a great running trail. Not too many cars pass by. There's a bathroom at the very end. Parking available.

We love this park. We take our bikes and bike all along the Carquinez Strait. It has beautiful scenery with the perfect amount of hills and long stretches.

It's a nice place to go bike riding, walking and general exercise. You can fish and its a good place to just walk around.

I have mixed feeling about this Park. We visited in mid-August, everything above the water and wetlands was dry a uninviting. Maybe this would be better in the spring and might be a good place to camp then. The parking lot at the end of...More

This is my favorite place to bike ride. It's a round trip of about five miles and has restrooms and numerous drinking fountains. Much of it has been repaved recently so the ride is smooth. Lots of runners and walkers (with and without dogs)

We have always enjoyed our walks through this park. It has really great views. Beware of the dog poop. Many of the dog owners do not pick up after their dogs

Even on a leash, some dogs are aggressive and will nip or outright bite. I was bitten in Alsea area of Oregon some years back and required stitches. The owner denied that the dog bit me and when confronted with a bleeding... More
