Tilden is a gem for Berkeley. What an amazing park. We have already hiked here twice and look forward to hike again and try new trails. Easily accessible during the week with bus nr 65 and weekends with bus nr 67 from Berkeley downtown up to the park. So far we have done the Meadows trail which offered beautiful terrain... More

Type of visit: parents visiting adult son who works in San Fran. Beautiful park, great hike, wonderful view of bay and Golden Gate Bridge. Steep climb.

Such a beautiful place to get away to right in Berkeley's own backyard. I love the easy hike around Lake Anza and the many other gorgeous trails throughout the park. We came around a bend on a hike one time and were greeted by a huge herd of goats (hundreds!) grazing the grass as part of a fire prevention program.... More

I have been attending this park for many years. The views are absolutely beautiful at any time of the day or night. Great environment to get a good workout.

Scenic venue that works for those who want to spend an hour or two in the shady elevations of the East Bay. On most days, Tilden Park has cooler temps than Berkeley or Oakland; advise bringing a sweatshirt or wrap. Train ride through the trees offers great views of the Bay Area.

Living in the gorgeous Smoky Mountains beautiful views are something I am accustomed to and when I travel it is hard to find a view that competes, but Tilden Regional Park exceeded my expectations. It was an easy walk. It was clean, and the other people we encountered were nice. I definitely recommend going!

Tilden is a beautiful park with all kinds of trails but I am going to recommend one I have been doing for over 3 decades. It is paved and not too strenuous, so suitable to bring healthy older people on, as well as children. You only have to keep an eye out for bicycles, as they share this broad, well-maintained... I recently visited Tilden Regional park while i went to visit University of California, Berkeley. Tilden Regional park is nearby UC , Berkeley and had good scenic views of the bay. This place is a good picnic spot for family with kids as it offers steam train rides, little farm and has even a Merry-Go-Round. Lake ANZA on the park... More

Been hitting the trails here for the last 15+ years and it still amazes me how beautiful this place is and how much it's remained the same. I normally drive up Wildcat Canyon from the Orinda side (San Pablo Dam Rd.) and park at Inspiration Point. Then hit the Nimitz Way trailhead. On good days, I run the Nimitz and... More

Even though it's only 15 minutes from my place in Berkeley, Tilden feels like it's 100 miles away. This beautiful park is full of trails that wind through canyons, climb ridges, and lead you to astounding views of the entire bay area. Go to Lake Anza and jump off the rock when the lifeguard is off duty :) There are... More
