I did my graduate level work here. It his a museum that covers many ancient and primitive cultures, and the staff is terrific. If you have any questions, they help. Do plan to visit when you go to Berkeley!

Interesting, but exhibit area small and this is mostly a research museum. Ok to stop in if walking by, but would not go out your way to see.

This is a great museum for those who are really interested in this field--very small, with rotating exhibits from the museum's substantial archives. I rated it as average as there's not a lot of breadth in the exhibits--more of a deeper exploration into specific artifacts.

Easy to miss on the UC Berkeley campus but worth finding. Always interesting to walk through - and a cool retreat on a hot day.

The museum is small, but excellent. The collection of objects from Egypt and Peru is amazing. Ever seen a crocodile mummy? The California native American collection is also good, but not displayed as well.
