Long sandy beach - great for kids - because waves are small- and for walking dogs. Plenty of tables for picnics (come early on weekends because the parking fill ups). $7 entry charge (Regional Park)

We have a dog with fear of other dogs and we're incredibly pleasantly surprised to find that every dog out yesterday morning (and there were lots) was on a leash as required and people were really respectful of our dog's space. He had a blast.

Love this long protected stretch of beach! Such a great walking beach. Good family beach and awesome you can bring your dog on leash. Always a favorite!!

We love Doran. Even though it gets extremely busy, we like the picnic benches, flush toilets, and sprawling beach. Cons: parking (especially during busy season)

Although it was windy (normal), it was a wonderful day for walking and exploring the beach. The birds were lively, the waves were crashing and the sand was therapeutic What a lovely way to spend a day!

Best place ever to cool off in the summer and enjoy the ocean in this area without dangerous surf. Great camping too!

I have seen people fishing, yes. There's not a store right near he campground but about a mile away in Bodega Bay town there are stores and a gas station.
