The WORST DAY EVER at Knott's Berry Farm! Walked around the farm and everything was closed! Scary farm tonight so nothing was open! Decided to call it a day have lunch at the Chicken Dinner Restaurant and go home. BIG MISTAKE!!! Branden our server was RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL, had no social skills and was providing no service!! Food was awful, hugh chibata bun with NO chicken salad on it at all. Complained to Thomas the manager and he looked at me stupid and asked me what I wanted him to do!!!! Duh! Never took a dime off the bill and never said sorry!
I'm a season pass holder, 25 year employee and was Heber so disgusted or dissapointed in my life!

Knott’s Scary Farm 2021 Brings Frights, Fun, And Food Back In Grand Style
Sep 2021
Knott’s Berry Farm has returned their much loved Knott’s Scary Farm which runs select dates through Halloween with evenings filled with fun, frights, and food.
Genevieve and I attended the opening night of the event and it was so nice to be back covering as we had not been able to attend for a few years and had various staff cover for us.
As such the mazes were all new for us and we enjoyed all 8 new mazes as well as the Scare Zones which each had their own unique theme and monsters.
The very eager crowd assembled while waiting for the ropes to drop and allow access to the event, and we started off with Pumpkin Eater which was a great maze set inside a Pumpkin. The sets and atmosphere were fantastic and there was even a seed room complete with “Pumpkin Juice” which was an unexpected pleasure and started the evening off well.
Genevieve had tweaked her back so took advantage of a scooter and the wandering monsters in the Scare Zones had her shrieking and laughing all night long; especially those that encouraged her to slow down so they can get a good scare going.
After our reception in the Fiesta Village which was complete with some great dancers; I set off for the mazes while Genevieve went for the live shows and Scare Zones. Thanks to our Fright and Fast Lane passes; we were able to avoid long waits as the longest wait we had all night was about 10-15 minutes as most attractions allowed us to go right up without any wait time.
I took the approach to walk the park and visit the attractions as they were encountered so Dark Ride and Mesmer were the next ones up. Dark Ride is a loving look at the classic Carnival rides of old where guests walk the tracks versus riding in cars. The abundance of props, monsters, and visual effects were amazing and set the tone well for Mesmer which was very popular seeing as it was a new maze. The blend of effects, themes, and settings made for a chilling and very enjoyable experience.
I made sure to take in the Log Ride which had been re-themed for Halloween and along the way we encountered lots of Clowns in the Boardwalk Scare Zone and the great Goreing 20s themed area where Flappers and other 20s area haunted characters roamed.
Next up for me was Origins which was a great Witch in the Old West-themed maze and once again; the highly detailed sets and visuals blended well and made for a very spooky experience.
The thick Smoke effects and lighting gave an eerie ambiance to the evening as one never knew what would emerge from the shadows or smoke to scare nearby guests. I enjoyed making my way to the Ghostrider area where four mazes; Wax Works, Paranormal Inc., The Depth, and Dark Entities lurked.
Never one to back away from a challenge; I powered through all four mazes consecutively and loved every minute of them.
Meeting up with Genevieve allowed us to take in some shows while we looked at the shopping options and Scare Zones as well as abundant dining options and themed options and treats.
Carnaval de Grotesque offered some great music for fans to enjoy with a Halloween theme as did Wicked Drums which combined a Witch story with some fantastic drumming segments.
There was also a great Puppet Show for adults called Puppet-Up! Uncensored and so much more.
Many of the attractions were also up and running and popular rides such as Ghost Rider and The Pony Express had guests shrieking well into the night as did the abundance of offerings.
Knott’s Scary Farm 2021 is bigger and better than ever and attracts large numbers of people. As such we advise taking advantage of a dining plan like the Boofet to gain early access and also take advantage of the pass as being able to avoid long lines is key to being able to enjoy everything this amazing event has to offer.

Skip this park. They don’t care about good service.

An hour and a half wait just to get into the park!!! Photo is the line wrapped around the corner before even getting through the gates. Two hours in line to get to my first ride. Worst park ever.

Btw, I’m a platinum member with Carowinds as my home park (which is awesome). I’m also a shareholder of your parks. Fix this !

Disappointing trip down memory lane
Aug 2021
I visited Knott's Berry Farm after not having been there in over 30 years. I knew it wouldn't be the same place after that much time, but what I wasn't ready for was just how rundown the place would look...especially during it's 100th Anniversary celebration. The rides were obviously not refurbished and there were horrible wear spots on various rides and what appeared to be rust spots on the roller coaster supports. What was the worst part of the experience was that one would have to wait no less than 45 min to an hour in food service lines. I even had to leave the park in order to have lunch because the wait would have been well over an hour just for a quick service meal. I did wait over an hour in one line just to get a refill on the souvenir soda cup I purchased (another big mistake) and what I saw infuriated me. There were 5 people in the food service location and only 1 was doing anything at a time. They also had only one register open. There were enough people in that location to have had 2 registers open and move the line along faster. Actually, I just read what review 703deenap wrote and that person hit the mark dead-on though we did not buy the "skip-the-line" passes. I feel like Covid will be blamed for what's going on in the park, but I feel the real culprit lies within upper-level management. Maybe they should do some housecleaning. Even with management changes, I doubt they'll ever get any of my money again.

It felt like a Covid breeding ground!
We spent the day here on a trip to California recently. The park had just reopened to 100% capacity and it was a disaster. Not only was it very crowded and very understaffed, but it felt unsafe. There was no social distancing anywhere, no sign of any cleaning practices, let alone, extra cleaning due to Covid. I did not see anyone in the park wearing a mask. We paid for the “skip the line” passes. On many rides there were only a couple of people ahead of us. However, the loading and unloading of the rides was so inefficient, that we often just stood there waiting for 15-20 minutes. Many rides had one worker doing everything. Not only is that unsafe, but it’s not efficient. The park should not have opened up to full capacity without proper staffing and safety measures in place.

Fun but you need expensive fast pass
Aug 2021 • Family
Rides are great but lines can make this trip terrible. We opted to buy fast pass tickets after getting there which added $94 each to cost of admission to avoid 2 hour waits! Makes for an expensive day.
Don’t buy the food plan. Many places within the park do not accept it and you are stuck with few choices. We had a terrible lunch with a long wait in ghost town and a good dinner at a barbecue place, but lines are really long. Have someone in your party go first while kids enjoy another ride if you have a fast pass. Be prepared to wait- better options if you don’t have a dining plan. Note, desserts are not included unless you buy premium and then only few.
We had a fun day , but it was close to $1000 for our family. Worth it? Certainly not often.

I still Love Knotts.
Aug 2021
It is not Disneyland but then again they did not make you wear a mask on rides and inside. Knott's has a much more Southern California Chill attitude than the house of mouse. Possibly because most of the people I met there were from the area and the tickets are much cheaper. We were there for the 100th celebration and Summer nights and it was a lot of fun. I log ride was broken down all day and Beary Tales is sub par replacement for Voyage to the Iron reef. But after spending the day before at Disneyland I appreciated the laid back atmosphere at Knott's. Planning on going back for Scary Farm. just one piece of advice, if the app says there is a 20 minute wait, it is more like 40 minutes.

It was fun because of the Fast-Pass
General $59
Fast pass $90
All-day dining $34.47
Souvenir bottles with all-day free refill $15.07
Funpix $29.99
Soak City $48

2021-August. Our hotel had a free shuttle to Knotts Berry Farm.

We arrived at 10:15 am, and there was already a 7-minute line for the bag checks. They do allow outside snacks and drinks.

3 families were in front of us in the park entrance to get our ticket scanned.

No park map was handed. Mask was not mandatory.

A funpix id was given in the funpix booth. If your child wants to take pictures with the characters, then funpix deal is good. Our child didn't and not all rides have photos, so i didn't think it was worth it.

Our fast pass bracelets were given to us @ The General Store.

Lines were at least an hour long and LONGER at the popular rides. It was great to have the fast pass as it reduced our waiting in line into 3-8 minutes.

We like the game prizes. About $6 per game. But the games works with a game card. The Game card itself is free BUT you have to put money in it ($5 increments). So we ended up with $2 unused balance.

There were some restroom were the faucets were installed incorrectly, as the water spout ended up an inch or less from the sink wall. Hard to wash hands when your hands keeps hitting the sink wall.

Some of the restrooms runout of toilet paper @ noon. Lol! So make sure you have toilet paper before you sit @ the toilet. 😆.

It was fun for us because of the fast pass.

Our favorite amusement park!
Jul 2021
Had a great time. Lines were not too bad. Week days are better of course.

Cons: Watch out for people holding places in line and teenagers line jumping...both are strictly against park policy. Also they don't provide paper maps anymore, which was super annoying. Your only option is to use the phone app, which isn't the easiest to read & WiFi should be offered if this is going to be the status quo. Plus my parents don't have smart phones :-/ it was easier to take a picture of the park map with my phone than use the glitchy app.

Avoid Ghost Rider
Jul 2021
Ghost Rider is terrible. 3 hour how dirty noisy wait with poeple crowded together without masks. No signage warning how long a wait or what was all about. The whole ghost town so wimpy, and the entrance conceals what the ride is all about, we thought would be another silly wimpy ghost town thng. first floor packed, but then had second floor to wait all packed... real scam. The ride is not healthy with so many jerks. Defnintely no.
