From the initial enquiry with Karma (owner) I felt confident in Bhutan Mountain Holiday. Karma was very quick to respond to my never ending queries and somehow he matched us up with THE best guide and driver. It could’ve been a very different trip if we had not had such good company and care as we had 17 days exploring Bhutan. Our guide, Sonam Tshering, and driver Dorji, were first class and dealt with everything the weather threw at us calmly and professionally. We had two changes to our itinerary due to weather conditions but due to our confidence in Sonam and Dorji’s abilities to rearrange the schedule it actually turned out better than the original plan! I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Karma’s company and I would certainly use them again but insisting we had Sonam and Dorji once more! It was a very memorable trip and we left two new friends behind.

Karma was excellent from beginning to end- very responsive, happy to change things according to our preferences and everything worked like clockwork during our visit. It is one of the most amazing holidays we have ever had- the scenery is stunning and our guide Sangay and driver Yishi were brilliant. I would highly recommend hiring motorcycles with drivers as we did- it was a wonderful way to experience the scenery. We also did a hike every day which I would also recommend.

I have completed my Bhutan solo trekkation [trek +vacation] in October 2024.
It’s a combination of Drukpath trek and touring bhutan for 12 days. I chose BMH headed by Mr Karma Gyeltshen as my trip organisers.
My guide Sonam Wangchuck was very responsible and friendly and a great photographer indeed. Crew on the trek, Rinzhin[cooks great food] Tenzing[assistant] and Sonam [horseman ] were very efficient and courteous.
Back to civilisation, Tashi[driver] who was very dutiful, drove us around. Food and accommodation arrangements were pretty good and comfortable. A special note about Mr Karma….I am extremely happy with his planning and arrangements and delighted to meet him personally.
I have been extremely impressed with Bhutan and its people for their culture and values. Thanks to one and all who made my trip a memorable experience for life time. I strongly and highly recommend BMH for anyone’s trip to Bhutan.

Karma Gyeltshen and his team run a great, professional travel company and take excellent care of their customers. Mr. Gyeltshen was highly responsive and patient in the few months prior to the visit, sorting out visas and internal flights; and in giving various options to upgrade accommodation, etc.
Once in Bhutan, we were taken care of by our guide, Sangay, and driver (another Karma - a very safe and friendly driver). We were later joined by my brother-in-law, whose driver/guide (Karma Duptho) was excellent. Sangay was very knowledgable.
I would not hesitate to use BMH's services again and hope to return in the next couple of years.

Great guide (Nn Tee) and driver - pilot ( Karma - not the owner Karma ) team met us and 5 days later took us back to airport at 5am . Always smiling / helpful / very knowledgeable and nothing enough trouble . Smooth admin by Bhutan Mountain after a few issues our side in transferring Fees and quality of my passport copies. Did the western side of Bhutan (Paro , Thimphu and Panaka) which has masses to see and left tigers nest to last day ( to acclimatise to altitude of 1300-3100m ) . Hotels were excellent - they could have been a little closer to town centre but after long days sleep / fresh air was needed. Highly recommended Karma Gyeltshen and team at Bhutan Mountain.

Truth be told, as a female solo traveler, I was concerned about which tour company to pick for my long awaited Bhutan trip. The tour guide and driver who you will be spending majority of the time with can either make or break the trip. I feel lucky and blessed to have picked Bhutan Mountain Holiday. I can’t thank Karma Gyeltshen enough to for this perfect amazing trip to Bhutan. Karma's always quick to respond to all of my questions and was very clear about what the next step was. In addition, I was paired with the most caring, thoughtful tour guide and driver. They thought of every little detail and catered to all my needs. I can’t thank Karma and his team enough for making this Bhutan trip so memorable and enjoyable. Definitely have Karma plan a trip for you if you are looking for someone who’s knowledgeable and reputable. I highly recommend Bhutan Mountain Holiday for your next unforgettable Bhutan experience.

I highly recommend Mr Karma Gyeltshen's Bhutan Mountain Holiday for your travel to Bhutan. The arrangements for my 5 day visit were very efficient with a fantastic trip including Paro, Thimpu and Punakha. Each day of the itinerary was packed full of highlights with some flexibility in sights also made provision for. Among the many spectacular sights, the hike to Taktsang was probably the biggest highlight, but the Punakha Dzong and Dordenma complex were also truly stunning. I was in the hands of Lekie and Yeshey, my guide and driver respectively, and they were excellent, hospitable and efficient - I would definitely recommend them to guide you through Bhutan! As noted by other reviewers, Mr Gyeltshen also made time for a visit during my time there and it was amazing to see his passion for the travel industry and, moreover, his evident love for Bhutan. This is precisely why, I would hope to use their services in future again.

My recent trip to Bhutan with Karma's Travel Company was outstanding. From the start, Kama's communication was seamless, and he tailored the itinerary to my interests.
The warm welcome at the airport set the tone for the trip. The guide and driver were knowledgeable and passionate about Bhutan. Accommodations were comfortable and clean, offering a true taste of Bhutanese hospitality. Meals featured delicious local cuisine, with careful attention to dietary needs.
My guide was exceptional, providing deep insights into Bhutan's culture and history. I explored ancient monasteries, hiked beautiful trails, and so much more.
In summary, Karma's Travel Company provided a personalized, enriching, and responsible travel experience. Highly recommended for exploring Bhutan. Thank you, Kama, for an unforgettable journey!

I had a brief window during my India trip to explore Bhutan along with my friend. As a US citizen the process to visit Bhutan involves some additional co-ordination. I reached out to Bhutan Mountain Holiday and they arranged everything for me from Air tickets to visa to hotels. They accommodated my itinerary. Once we landed in Paro our guide Sangey and driver Karma were waiting for us and accompanied us during the duration of the trip. Both of them were great and provided us insight into Bhutanese culture. The owner Karma also met us briefly and we had a great conversation with him. The Bhutan is hidden gem and the Bhutan Mountain holiday elevated the experience for us.

We had a wonderful time travelling in Bhutan from East to West. We very much enjoyed the company of our guide Tshering and our driver Karma.
We got excellent background information and comments about the places visited and we appreciated the safe driving through the windy and often difficult roads.
The choice of accomodation as well as the programme exceeded our expectations.
We would love to come back and book another tour with Bhutan Mountain Holiday.

We are 4 senior citizens ( age 62-69 ) strictly vegetarian. 2 are Indian citizen and 2 are NRE Indian - holding US passport. We all can easily walk and possibly climb 350-500 meters. We are considering Bhutan in 3rd week of February 2019 for 5-7 days.
Kindly recommend us what we could do best.

Hi,
My father is ~71 and my mother is ~68. They just visited Bhutan last month for a week and hiked almost 2- 3 hours everyday except the first day. It’s comfortable provided that you’re mentally strong enough to do that. However, you can also skip the hectic hiking if you want to BUT I highly recommend that you at-least give your best to reach the peak of “Tiger’s Nest”. That’s a beauty which you absolutely shouldn’t miss.
Just one word of precaution if you’re travelling through a travel agent – be careful and wise in picking an agent. I travelled solo and my travel agent was great, however I picked someone else to accompany my parents [Company: Bhutan Foothills, Owner/Guide: Tashi Dolma] was a mess and she behaved/acted terrible with my parents! Will write in a separate note in TripAdvisor.
Nevertheless, I hope you enjoy your time in Bhutan and don’t worry about hiking. The beauty of the nature will ease out all your pain!
