Lovely Wide runs, Very flat
Dec 2020
The Annupuri Ski area is relatively flat, with many easy runs for beginners or intermediates. Those more advanced could go off piste but do be careful as the forest does get quite dense. There are plenty of lifts and the resort is easy to navigate.

Most lift assistants speak english and are very friendly. Would definitely recommend if you are looking to ski in the area.

I was forbidden to use my ski equipment.
Feb 2021 • Couples
I come through this to present my sincere disappointments with a situation that occurred in the ski resort Niseko Annupuri Kokusai Ski Area, in Niseko city, Hokkaidō, Japan, for have been forbidden to use my Snowfeet equipment.

Today, 02/27/2021, I had a bad experience at the ski resort Annupuri, since I had been skiing for almost 4 hours and, at one point, an employee of the company that manages the ski resort simply forbade me to continue skiing, use the lift or ski on the spot, for the simple fact that I was not using traditional ski equipment.

Trying to understand the reason for the prohibition, I went to the office of the management company, where the employee Ichiji informed me that I could not use my “sunōfito” equipment because it does not have an edge, it turns out that Snowfeet is a safe equipment as much as any traditional ski equipment and it does have the edge referred, which allows braking and downhill control like any other traditional ski equipment; the only difference is that the snowfeet is smaller and has a support base for snowboarding boots and not for ski boots.

I showed the equipment to the ski resort administration staff who refused to see it or to talk to me rationally, limiting themselves to repeatedly repeating sentences that I should change equipment, without giving any reasons that contradicted the fact that my equipment has the edge requested by them and has the same security as any other ski equipment.

It should be noted that there is no report at the Annupuri ski resort, either in the form of signposts on the site, or on its website, that my equipment would be banning or the reasons for its prohibition.

Therefore, I would like to ask the staff of the ski resort management companies in Hokkaidō area, In Japan, to contact the company Snowfeet Japan, to clarify their doubts regarding the equipment, as apparently many people used false equipment and generated the impression that the original Snowfeet would not be safe to be used normally.

Great views no crowds
Mar 2020
One of my favorite of the four resorts of Niseko United. No crowds, plenty of places to eat and close parking. Choices of chair lifts or gondola and amazing views. The snow is the famous Japan powder. Access to some of the off piste gates or just some fun groomed runs. Skiing for every ability and a great family resort.

Good place for beginners
Mar 2020 • Family
Good starting place for beginners in Niseko. Lesser crowd compared to the rest of the ski areas and slopes are generally more gradual.

Best place ever.

We loved Annupuri as the slopes were gentle for beginners to practice & learn. There were many ways to come down too which made the experience very interesting!

Best offroad/backcountry snowboarding experience
Feb 2020 • Friends
We are a group of 10 freeride fans from Ukraine, and this season in 2020 Annupuri has become our favorite snowboarding area out of all the resorts covered by Niseko United.

Firstly, the hike to Annupuri peak is a great experience itself. It might be getting really windy on the way (it was -18 and wind when we were going up), but the outcome is definitely worth the effort.

The view from Annupuri peak is epic - you can even see the ocean if it’s not foggy.

The way down is a pure pleasure when there’s a fresh powdersnow. You first need to go down the ridge, and then proceed in a great forest.

100% recommended for all backcountry lovers!

Underwhelming
Feb 2020 • Friends
Annupuri was on our list of amazing places to snowboard whilst in japan and I think we just got a bit unlucky with the weather and crowds.
We found ourself constantly running from the crowds and when we did have periods of semi empty slopes to shed we ended up with decent ice patches which wasn’t the “japow” we came for!

Not a vast area
Jan 2020
Great snow and great fun but not a vast area. Be ready to do the same thing again if you stay longer than 3 days.
