We visited here and were so moved to be able to see the actual structure of Peter's mother. Seeing how they lived in those days and the way houses were built gave me a new perspective on the term "house church".

For Christians this is a very important site. It appears in the Gospels as the place which Jesus made the base for his mission. We know that he preached very effectively in the synagogue here. Whether these ruins are the very synagogue in which he...More

Very well preserved, these walls are 1600 years old! Extraordinary place, dont miss it while touring Israel. It was part of the program of the group tour we took in May and loved every inch of it !

Despite of the large number of groups / coaches (we were part of one...) it is worth to visit this place. The ruins of buildings from the times Jesus lived there are impressive. Nice view to the Sea of Galilee.

As a place of Christ ministry, it was worth experiencing to walk where Jesus performed most of His miracles. This is an outdoor activity that you will need caps, hats and umbrellas.
