The ruins are in much better shape than those of Magdala. But really impressive is the church built on top of St. Peter house, with the view of the Galilei sea.

Was thrilled to be here and pray where Jesus taught. Across the way is Peter's house where Christ healed his mother-in-law. Beautiful CAtholic Church designed to be able to see the inside of Peter's home. (The archaeological digs). Don't be afraid to visit the church...More

This is a beautiful site with stunning views over the Sea of Galilee. Lots to look round. We were lucky our guide for this trip was excellent.

We went in November when it wasn't too hot, and the tourists were few. We enjoyed the history along with the Bible references our guide provided. I will go again!

I thought this visit was extremely interesting even if you are not religious. The views of the Galilee sea are nice and the historic importance of the ruins is incredible. Especially interesting if you take a guide.

A truly historical and spiritual place in a beautiful location on the Sea of Galilee. It is a place where we know Jesus spent alot of time and thus helps bring a better understanding to His ministry and life.

What a surprise this site turned out to be! A beautiful church suspended over carefully recovered ruins ranging from rough basalt rock to smooth Roman granite. Lots if informative plaques to guide you along the way.

Great site to see and feel history of the highest order. Compact and easy to see the whole site. Lots of explanation. There is a devotional element if you want it, but the site is interesting simply in the reality of the history.
