Capitola is just beautiful. The little bungalows, rentals, cottages, etc., are so cute and inviting. It's a fun place to stroll and shop. Even if you have rain, it's still fun. The down-side is the traffic getting in and out of the darling town.

Lots of shore line, lots of sand, not many people (at least not during the week). Very short stroll from the cottages and from downtown Capitola. If you need to park, park on the hill and it's maybe three long blocks to the beach

Lots of benches, good place for taking little kids because of the lagoons formed from the flow of the Soquel river into the ocean, makes for large safer pools of water versus actual ocean. So close to bathrooms, lots of shops and cafes, and benches...More

What a beautiful place by the beach. We spend the day walking around and visiting the many shops. We ate a delicious meal at Paradise grill (which was highly recommended by locals) and the red snapper was really good. We had a table by the...More

Beautiful beach and the village is just oh so quaint and scenic but our visit was unfortunately marred by the lousy facilities. There was a big bathroom / changing house at the beach but it was dirty and messy and low on paper... such a...More

Staying in San Jose and wanted a day at the beach. We had a fab time, it’s a small place with a few restaurants , quite a lot of boutiques and some art galleries

Always a great place and town. One of the finest offered by Northern California. The local shops and restaurants are terrific. Plenty of parking.

Our room and the floors leading to our room were dirty and stained. We arrived on a sunny Sunday afternoon. The room showed Pizza crumbles and greasy finger prints on the desk, mirror and lamps. The beds seemed to be just straightened and not freshly...More

this in one of the friendliest for handicap. I am not sure about loaner sand friendly wheelchairs. Some beaches have this but I have never seen one at Capitola.

Not sure if they have hours posted. I've been there after 10pm and saw a few other people there also. Most other beaches in the area just don't want campfires past 10pm.
