Nice little antique mall/flea market

Two buildings with individual booths. There are people at the reception desk as you walk into each building and I guess that is where you pay. The booths were not manned by the... read more

We got to Carlsbad Village Art & Antique Mall at 1:57 and walked up and down State Street. I wasn't that impressed. There weren't a ton of really interesting stores. I bought a postcard from Viz Art Ink Studio, and we walked into Guy Stuff. We bought chocolate from Carlsbad Chocolate Bar. The chocolate-covered Oreos and orange peel were really... More

Beware if you want to return an item they say (all sales final) but there are NO visible signs stating this. I was willing to do an exchange but the Mall owner refused, I will never return to that place. As a goodwill gesture he should have at least let me apply the measly $22. toward another item. The place... More

Two buildings with individual booths. There are people at the reception desk as you walk into each building and I guess that is where you pay. The booths were not manned by the owners. The items all had price tags identifying the booth number and the price. There is a mix of antique items along with your standard flea market... More

a great flea market right across the street a block away from the trains. There was a big building advertised as a flea/antique market , one of my favorite ways to shop to find that unique sovereign. It was a typical flea market stalls of vendors with their eclectic wares. I always looks for the the stall that offers discounts... More

This reminded me of how we shop and barters back home, nice place but no vendors to speak to? And very hot and uncomfortable insides no air conditions for an upscale area of shoppings district? The ladies seem to be nice to the peoples they helped, I did not speak or talk to them myself, but I watched them to... More

I'm not much of a shopper, especially when traveling, but I do like to take something back with me as a trip reminder. This is so much more satisfying than a souvenir shop. For one, it's mostly local fare. Second, it may carry future value as an antique. But most important, I can find something that is fun, functional and/or... More

Our trips to Carlsbad would not be complete without visiting this large collection of vintage memorabilia. It seems to us that vendors rent space and the clerks handle transactions on their behalf. As we wandered around, we could see evidence of how the different vendors priced and organized their wares. This time around, we bought interesting old baseball cards and... More

This is such a fun place. It can take you down "memory lane" or it can take you on a "trip to Europe". So many possibilities. There are so many unique shops/booths each one with is own unique character. If you like to hunt for treasures or just browse this is the place to come! There is something for all... More

We loved this place! It's huge! We picked up a number of decorative items at very reasonable prices. We'll be back! The lighting and air could be improved (we visited on a very hot day), and the parking situation could be better, which are the only reasons I am not giving this antique mall an Excellent rating.
