This should be a beautiful place to bring kids to the beach but the city does nothing to keep its beachfront street clear of doggy droppings and it ruins a lovely spot. Restaurants right on the ocean bluff have dog feces steps from the tables....More

This is a lovely laid back area to stay in. Traffic is not hectic. The beach provided lots of chances for people watching. There is a wealth of cafes and bars.

Tourists seem to flock to Carlsbad. Nice area with lots of overpriced restaurants and shops. Parking difficult here recommend uber or Lyft.

Wonderful little tourist village. So glad our friends decided to stay here and booked ahead. Would vacation here again in the furture. Nice little shops up and down the way. Lots of choices for eating as well....such a nice atmosphere.

The shops in the village close early at 5:00. The outlet mall that isn't far away would be the only stores open until 9:00pm.
