Batiquitos Lagoon is a great place to relax. I recommend kayaking, you can bring your own or rent one here.

Batiquitos is a natural jewel in the city. There are several entry points into the lagoon, I recommend the one just off Poinsettia and Batiquitos. Enter Batiquitos Lagoon Foundation into your GPS app for directions. This is a great place for bird nerds and health...More

We were staying near the lagoon and made a point of getting out for a daily walk on this trail. Hummingbirds were abundant and the setting sunny and peaceful. Walkers and joggers, with and without dogs, were friendly. No bathrooms available.

Pleasant little walk along the lagoon. Well maintained, with signs providing information about the area, including its historic significane among Native Americans. Little museum/shop. Restrooms on site.

Great place for a quick tranquil walk with dog or friends. At certain times of the year, the trail comes alive with color and scents. I like to park at the easternmost lot, walk west on the trail, then take sidewalk back to car. About...More

We were staying at a home with this view. There are walking trails here around the north rim, great bird watching, fresh air and a spectacular view of the ocean, coaster train and waling distance to the beach in Cardiff.

This is very close by, and it is probably a long walk. We did not complete but since it is a flat walk, it is good. We enjoyed. Saw a lot of people walking/running/walking their dog.

We normally park at the extreme west end of the trail and then just walk or run toward the east end of the trail. It is a very good place for this sort of thing.

Flat and easy walk for all ages. Views of lagoon towards ocean. Grasslands and riparian. We go here at least 3-4 x a year.

The Batiquitos Lagoon is a terrific place for a relaxing stroll along the paths and trails. There are several improvements along the trails that have been installed as Eagle Scout projects and they certainly have improved the experience.
