We were browsing on the side streets of Carmel and came across this wonderful artwork. Huge windows and large open space, so we were able to look at and appreciate the many various sculptures, even though, the indoor area cannot be entered (it is roped off 5/2) as workmen are painting and remodeling. Unfortunately, we could not watch the artist... More

Last March 18, 2016 my husband, Luie, passed away after a five + year battle with cancer. I was committed to finding the best way to honor him, his talent and his love as a professional photographer. I decided that I wanted to have a statue made of him but I didn't know anything about statue making. After doing some... More

It was such amazing artwork to view. Got to see them to enjoy . We were only passing by on our way to have lunch. But we were so impressed ,the artist must be really good at not only observation and carry out in sculptor.

Steven is an excellent sculptor and creates his works (other than very large ones) in his studio/gallery in front of you. He's very talented and does a large range of figurative sculptures. He's known internationally for his larger than life-size sports and historical statues at universities and in public places. He also does smaller pieces, which are available in bronze... More

The husband and I decided to wander the streets without a plan and came across Steven's gem of a studio. Walked in and was greeted by the artist's sweet bulldog and the artist himself who was working on a piece. He actually stopped and took the time to explain to us the sculpting/bronzing process and stories behind some of the... More

We visited Steven Whyte's Sculpture Studio in January 2016. He has both finished pieces and works in progress on display. There is a small display area that explains his process and Steven himself happily answered questions about his methods and approach to his art. Interesting even if you are not in the market for his art and worth a look.

Personable and talented transplanted Brit sculptor, Steven, is often there in the shop and up for a "chat" if not dedicating one of his monumental creations somewhere else in the state or country. As an owner of two of his wonderful works, Inna and Crystal, I am still a regular visitor to his interesting and constantly changing Dolores, Carmel shop;... More

If you go, and you definitely should, be sure to bring a treat for Wellington, the resident dog. My teenage kids had fun petting him while I browsed the gallery . Steven Whyte is very talented and it was unique being able to just walk in and watch him at work. We enjoyed spending time in his gallery so much... More

Steven Whyte is usually at his studio, sometimes even working, always ready to discuss one of his works and full of clever anecdotes. The sculptures are evocative and thoughtfully created, each one with a personality of its own. Art claims its rightful home, and one of these creations is likely to claim yours - it's just a matter of choosing.... More

Steven is a very talented artist and unlike some, is very approachable. Visitors to his gallery can see him at work and talk with him about his art, which is very unusual, as most artists have salespeople as buffers. Also make sure you visit with Welly, his four-legged salesman.
