Been on this drive a few times. Always pretty. Always relaxing. We were lucky the weather was just perfect. If you’ve never been on this road don’t hesitate. Try it. It’s worth the entry fee!

Gorgeous drive but very winding. Plenty of stunningly beautiful ocean view with pull-outs. Short drive from Monterey/Carmel/ Pacific Grove.

This is a beautiful area with lots of "oohs" and "aahs". The ocean is mesmerizing. Take time to stop and enjoy the beautiful scenery...the water, sky, sea animals, landscaping.

I had driven this drive before there was a fee (yeah…a while ago) so when back visiting the area it was (and is) a no brainer. Pros- You can take it in all sorts of ways. You can bike (most of it), walk it, drive...More

Yes. There is an entrance in Carmel. When you exit on the northern side it links up to the main road going along the coast past Pacific Grove and on to Monterey.
