One of the highlights of the Bidwell Mansion is the pictures of what the room looked like in the 1800's and the recreation of that picture in the room. It really brought the history of the mansion to life.

This home is a step back in history to the gold era. Mr. Bidwell did very well for himself and his wife. The home still holds some original furnishings though it was used as a women's dorm for a bit for Chico State.

The tour explains the history of Chico as well as the Bidwells and their mansion. Some of the books, art and furniture are original to the home and the rest they have done of very nice job of collecting.

This is an amazing mansion. Historic land mark for California. The first home with indoor plumbing in California. Sorry for the lack of photos
