Perfect location for a quiet respite strolling through the immaculate gardens. There is a cafe that serves fresh California produce with a French flair. Cafe Jardin is open from 11 am to 2 pm Monday through Friday and they also serve Sunday brunch.

A special place in the middle of the city. Beautiful gardens. would be a good place with a walker. Lunch is delicious, eating outside overlooking the gardens. Gourmet food, a little pricey, but worth the splurge. Very nice gift shop, items at all price ranges. Two parking lots. I try to go during the week, imagine weekends are very busy.... More

People don't know it but they offer champagne on the weekends. I believe it's only available from 10:30 am to 2:00 pm - Saturday and Sunday only. We love to sit with a glass of bubbly, among the flowers and plants. It's so relaxing. Highly recommend.

I discovered Sherman Gardens 12 years ago on our first vacation to Newport Beach and have been back every year since. You would never believe this gorgeous garden area is just a few acres as the layout, well appointed greenery and flowers are magnificent! Every year is a little bit different and I enjoy the additions. Also a very nice... More

The Sherman Gardens & Library, at Dahlia & 2nd, are a treasure in the middle of a now busy community. In 1955, Mr. Arnold Haskell, bless him, purchased Norman's Nursery which included an adobe building. His concept for the property was for a beautiful garden, open to the public, a serene oasis, 'a respite from the stress and pressures of... More

Best to go to the restaurant and you get to see the garden basically free. Be there before 3 or it closes. The adobe has 1920s paintings, LA history, and books for use and research onsite. It is a refreshing spot with free parking right on PCH.

We went to this library & Gardens while we were in Corona Del Mar, even we have been there before, but Garden is spectacular and Library is very worthy to visit, enjoyed the lunch in their restaurant

We were on a mini-vacation stay in Laguna Beach with friends and decided that they would enjoy the gardens. They were not disappointed. Nor were we (it was not our first visit, but the last had been a while back and much had changed). We spent almost 5 hours, including lunch). The "history" of the Sherman is worth reading about... A stroll through these cramped, but beautiful, gardens is a hidden gem. The orchids were a highlight when we visited. Lunch area was inviting... maybe next visit. Its history is unique, so make sure you pick up the brochure. Nice gift shop for gardeners, too.

For a "small" garden, the different areas and greenhouse made it feel surprisingly large, and we spent longer than we'd expected to, enjoying all the details and lingering in the courtyard over tea. A highlight was the gorgeous succulent garden, a work of art as much as horticulture. We didn't have time to explore the library or gift shop, or... More
