After looking up the local Low Tide time, we headed for Little Corona Beach to check out the tide pools. Free street parking, steep ramp to walk down to the beach (going back up the ramp is much slower going!)
My granddaughter was thrilled to see if there were any sea creatures in the rocks: she only found sea anemones.

The Adventure Buddies goes to Little Corona Beach to explore the tide pools, arch, and scope out dolphins and sea lions! We had a great time seeing all of the above, taking fun pictures. We were there early in the morning so we had most of it to ourselves which was nice because we heard parking can be tough. Such a nice secluded place to hang out. We loved it!

Great spot, not super busy. Enjoyed tide pooling- lots of life there. Beautiful rock formations/ views. Wandered along the coast and watched the sunset.

We have been to Little Corona Beach several times over the years. In my youth, I used to walk to it from Balboa Island. Movies have been made there. Churches Baptize people there. It is a great place to swim, watch boats go by, and view beautiful homes.

A friend took me here. It was really a nice beach, like in a cove. You do have to pay for parking. But it is clean, was quiet when I was there. and will go back again.

A lovely place where one can view the harbor entrance and more. Packed in the summer with thousands, quiet in Winter.

Standing on the cliff top, looking out to sea, Little Corona is to the left or South, you cannot see the jetty from that beach. It is called Little, because it is much smaller than Big Corona, or the State Beach. On the other side or right, if looking out to sea, is Pirate’s Cove of Gilligan’s Island fame. As the Minnow sets sail down the channel and out to sea, the jetty is in the top of the scene, the bottom is Pirate’s Cove. That being said, Little Corona has only street parking in the residential neighborhood. Making it more difficult to visit, and more exclusive, as it goes towards Crystal Cove State Beach. Waves are rideable, I used to body surf in my earlier years. And without a drivable street down, the walk discourages some. Nice to have fewer bodies to share the sand with.

Visiting here every time when in California winter or summer. Great walking beach and hours of fun for the grandkids. Tide pools are a never-ending adventure for kids and adults alike. Not to easy to get to for handicapped and people with walking problems.
