One week camping was amazing. A must to get beach front site. Sites are a good size with water and electric hook ups. There is a local pumping company that will come pump your gray and black tanks for 20 bucks makes it real convenient. The only downside is that the camp hosts are not the friendliest.

Not many tourists have discovered this out of the way beach located across the road from the Loews Resort and Spa. You will love it. Clean unraked sand. Restrooms and no lifeguards!

Friendly and helpful check-in process. Beautiful sunsets. Best you can expect being right on the beach. Will have to do again.

In order to get to Crown Cove you park in the SilverStrand State Park parking lot and cross under the 75 Frwy by means of a tunnel. The cove is sheltered from waves and has sailing and kayaking opportunities, with rentals at the aquatic center. It is a great place for swimming and having a BBQ or luncheon. There are... More

Sand, sun and ocean waves sounds great but this unremarkable stretch of sand "blessed" with it's proximity to "Tijuana Floaters" is usually empty for a number of reasons not least of which is the almost constant posting of warnings to stay out of the water due to high bacterial counts. For a walk it's OK but for anything more look... More

Yes, as other reviewers have pointed out, it is a long strand of beach, but if you like a beach with some plant life or other distinguishing features, this is not it. The campground is next to a fairly busy highway that gets quiet around 9-10 p.m., then gets re-energized aroun 5 a.m. Yes, many rules. I'm a dog owner... More

Silver Strand is a beautiful stretch of beach. We walked on a lovely March evening and had very few companions on the beach. It was a great spot for a quiet, romantic walk on the beach. (Very easy access from Loew's Coronado Bay resort.)

I biked here on a rental bike on the Bayshore Bikeway while DH was in meetings. It's cool and windy but serene in February! I think I saw 5 other people maybe during the hour I was there. A great place to enjoy the ocean sights and sounds!

Stayed at silver strands for 10 dayms total over a two week period, overall it was great, park not busy, little traffic from causway, but at not enough to negate the ocean view. 50 bucks a night it not a bad dealing in diego. Only advise is to book your days in advance, learn from my mistake of needing the... More

Welcome to Silver Strand State Beach: is what we expected to hear when we pulled up after 900 miles of travel. Instead we heard, "Do you have reservations? We have FOUR RULES: 1. No dogs on the beach. 2. No Alcohol 3. No fires unless the fire pit is at least 6" off the ground 4. Nobody in or out... More
