Took the ferry over to the island and walked down the Main Street and around the yacht club and the beach. Lots of things to see and do and a great spot to ride a bike around.

Plenty of beaches to walk and a very long concrete walkway to enjoy ocean front and take in the ocean. Navy seals can be seen off shore conducting exercises as well.

This was definitely the wealthy area of San Diego. The homes are spectacular, the beach is beautiful and very well kept. The massive hotel that sits on the island is breathtaking! Nice area to go shopping in quaint specialty shops. This is a must see area!...More

We are staying at the Hyatt Grand Manchester and wondering if we need to rent a car to get to Coronado, or if there are convenient ways to get there and explore a bit on foot or via public transport ion.

There are a number of ways to get to the island but in looking at your location, you can take a ferry and rent a bike to explore the island as we did. Inexpensive and timely along with a bike friendly island make it a good... More

We are staying at hotel circle in San Diego ca for July 3rd and 4th, 2016 and would like to take in the best fireworks while avoiding the crowds; can you recommend either outside dining rooftop (we do have 2 teens 15 & 17) where we can dine while viewing the fireworks & could make reservations for 4 or sailboat/dinner cruise; again we can pay a little for view and less crowds!! We'd hate to be squishe on a rooftop noisy bar or on boat cruise as well!
