Developed in 1888 as a beach resort town, and home to the famous Hotel del Coronado, the island is blessed with one of the finest beaches in the world and bathed in endless sunshine. Coronado today is a vibrant beach community loaded with charm.

Great place to visit. The views when coming over the bridge are amazing. The beach is kept really clean and is great for a walk along or to watch sunset. A must when in San Diego.

A couple hours would be fine to get a good idea. Rent a bike and you will be around quickly.
