Attended the season opening performance of the Pacific Symphony in Segerstrom Hall, with Olga Kern as guest piano soloist. First time in the hall and first time hearing the orchestra--having heard orchestras around the country, I would give this group a solid "A" for performance. The hall's bright acoustics help make the orchestra's sound clear and intense. The soloist's piano... More

First Off This Symphony is Fantastic, We decided to check them out at "Concerts In The Park Woodbridge Lake-Symphony In The Cities". What a treat to see them perform in an open park at dusk, beautiful performances of Johann Strauss, Tchaikovsky, John Philip Sousa, a beautiful tribute to all the vets a very touching moment as it was a beautiful... We have subscribed to the PSO (Classical & Pops) for over 30 years and watched it grow from a good orchestra to a great orchestra. Under the leadership of Carl St. Clair, the PSO is just magnificant and a joy to listen to. If you have the opportunity to hear them in Segerstrom Hall, take it. You will have a... More

Our seats were front and center and we couldn't see the other half of the orchestra seated behind the violins. A terrible waste of money.

What a wonderful evening. Andre Watts was in total command of the piano, at times gentle and lyrical, turning to magnificently and furiously powerful, in the Beethowen Concerto #4. Carl St. Clair, in bidding farewell to two of the long time orchestra players, made all of us feel like members of a wonderful family. After the intermission, the presentation of... More

One year ago, I saw the Pacific Symphony Orchestra perform in 2 different concerts. Their conductor, Carl St. Clair, is an excellent conductor. Both concerts were very exciting to listen to. The are not very far behind some of the great orchestras of our country. They add to the cultural awareness of Orange County.

The community is lucky to have a symphony orchestra and a music director ( Carl St.Clair ) that are so talented. We have been attending concerts for six or seven years and find them to be outstanding, inspirational, sublime, ... We attend the performances at Segerstrom, but I know they also perform elsewhere.

Orange County is home to the Segestrom Center for the Performing Arts. The Symphony has a dedicated concert hall with great acoustics. Always a treat.

I'm not versed enough to rank symphonys. I know what I enjoy and I like this experience repeatedly. I love the architecture and intimacy of the venue. I appreciate the quality of the performance and the commitment to popular appeal
