We stay every year to celebrate New Years at the Monarch Beach Resort (formerly St. Regis) and love to take long walk in the beach for our toddler and can walk back up via trail to the hotel. You can walk to the bay club beach restaurant as well. Very relaxing. TIP: they have a public parking lot that tends... More

Walked down from the carpark, average beach and swimming. Spoilt by Aussie beaches I guess. Ok for a surfer and better scenically than a lot of Cal beaches but nothing special.

This beach is active but not crowded in November. There was a Santa surfing competition that drew many colorful surfers and fans. It is a nice beach area with a wonderful walking path along the oceanside. THere is also a large green park area for lounging and play that is overlooking the beach.

Been going here for 40 years and still a beautiful experience. Perfect sand! Good waves and usually not terribly crowded. Great for families. Easy to get to. Stairs or a gondola if walking a problem.

This beach is a gem. The park above the beach is gorgeous. Not too many people around, it is quiet and more tucked away than the other beaches around that area. I can't wait to go back to Salt Creek next time I'm there!

Situated right below the Ritz Carlton, Salt Creek Beach is a lovely spot with great waves for surfing or just wading in the water. There is a nice park which has picnic tables. If you are staying at the Ritz, they provide shuttle service, chairs and umbrellas.

Fun place to do lots of things. Been around with local for 100 years literally. Good parking but metered. If you enjoy watching surfing, it can be epic on big days. I used to Lifeguard it in High School.

Huge beach. Great waves for boogie bard surfing. Enough room for the whole family to have fun! Lots of locals enjoying the beach. We saw a group of surfers both in the morning and the evening catching some good waves. Definitely need a wet suit if you you want to surf, as the water is on the cooler side. We... More

Great for swimming, walking, exercise, whatever works, get a yearly parking pass and visit often. Now a word of caution, the hill on the way down is easy, not so much on the way back up to your car!! The park is great for picnics, dogs or just laying back and chilling.
