We were planning a native plant yard, this really helped. The native plant section is a small part of the garden, but it is getting better each year (as things age) I really like the butterfly enclosure (seasonal) and many of the structures that were inspirational for my yard.

This garden has workshops, tours on the premises and just started recently doing an annual Garden Tour ( Homes) in El Cajon. It was AMAZING to see what people had done to their homes..I don't have a home (Townhouse) but it was beautiful to see. It was so well done, I am inviting 3 friends of mine who do have... More

This is a wonderful garden with lots of tips on water savings. Just a joy to spend time and get smart all at the same time. And if the garden isn't enough reason to come out, the the Heritage of the Americas Museum is the next door neighbor... all on the campus of Cuyamaca College.

Nice way to wander around and see many different ideas for your garden as well as the reasons why to make certain choices, Entry fee was a very reasonable donation.

The garden is a wonder. The cost is only a donation and it is filled with beautiful and creative installations that can be created with low water use. No gravel front yards and artificial turf solutions here, rather idea after idea of beautiful plants and landscape concepts. Also just a good place for a stroll and fun for kids too.

We walked through the entire garden gathering ideas for plants to use in our yard. We live in Northern California. Luckily my sister-in-law is very knowledgeable about Southern California native plants and could guide us to ones we could try up north. It was a fun place to visit, helpful and educational.

Great place to learn, good place to picnic, and also great place to go to an event...farmers market. They have amphitheater, walking paths, and a butterfly house. Easy walking, great for kids & families, with lots to learn & teach.
