Stone Brewing was founded in 1996 by Steve Wagner and Greg Koch in North County San Diego, CA. It is the largest craft brewery in the southwestern United States and has been named "All-Time Top Brewery on Planet Earth" by BeerAdvocate magazine - TWICE! A recently announced $26.6M expansion plan (that includes a hotel among other lofty ventures) is underway, as are developments to become the first American craft brewery to open a brewhouse in Europe. The adjacent Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens plays host to countless wildly popular beer and dining events, and is the largest purchaser of local, organic produce in San Diego County, including a growing amount from their own Stone Farms! In addition to promoting ethical eating, the restaurant boasts a lush one-acre outdoor garden as well as a line-up of 32 rotating taps and 100+ bottled craft beer selections for guests to enjoy.

We have been to Stone numerous times. This time we were there for lunch. The outdoor seating area is terrific, so when you go if it is at all warm enough, sit outdoors. The emu is good, not as diverse as some, but the scope...More

Today we had the pleasure of making our first visit to Stone. Let me tell just driving up you begin to realize this is not your typical “micro brewery”. We sat at the outside bar and we were immediately greeted by our bartender/server Jen. Looking...More

If you need a place to just hang out and enjoy some great scenery, this place has both good beer and good food. Had a Stout and my friend had the Piney IPA. Both were great beers. We both had the Sausage and Sauerkraut plates...More

Stone brewery is a fascinating relaxing oasis. You come down this road and then you walk into this stone and tree covered restaurant. Lots of choices of beers made on site. Olives to die for and a non conventional menu with good choices. A walk...More

On a very hot day in August we needed an indoor activity, so beer drinking won the coin toss (not really a toss up). When we arrived at Stone Brewing we noticed there were no signs but there was a small rock with their logo...More

Visited Stone Brewing to see a local singer perform in the garden. Great facilities, vibe, brews and food. I had the Pork & Peppers Pasta with their paired Arrogant B Ale. Both were excellent. My wife loved their Stone Brewing Delicious (GF) Beer and (GF)...More

The beer was excellent, but the atmosphere made it just as worthwhile. My husband is an IPA lover and he liked all 7 that he sampled. We walked around outside and enjoyed the live music while he sipped. While we didn't try any food, many...More

We regularly visit Stone Brewing for various gatherings, whether is birthday celebrations, work related get togethers, or just a family outing. Their beer selections are outstanding, with almost any beer variety anyone could want. My favorite is a citrus flavored IPA called Cali Belgique, which...More
