Our captain provided a good historical perspective of the area area and bay. It is a small boat seating about 40 for the tour. There are bird and seal sighting during the tour. The area is rather mixed, either there are deserted areas, industrial areas,...More

This tour is on a nice, old boat and it gives one a short tour of Humboldt Bay. The captain will give you some local history of an area that was once home to a sizable Native American population and later home to a major...More

My children and I enjoyed the cruise with a little discussion of the history of the Bay, nice viewing of the bay and surrounding scenery. Many people do not know Humboldt County has Fort Humboldt which was founded in 1853 during the California Gold Rush...More

It's about 75 mins of not mind-boggling local history. Ordinary people will enjoy the brief ride on the adorable antique boat, the Caprain we had was very prepared and modestly amusing. The views were interesting -- especially the sea birds and the ruins of old...More

We took family visitors on this day cruise. It was a little breezy but interesting. The history is good. A nice outing.

This is a good way to get a historical and overall layout of the Port of Humboldt and the bay. Captain Leroy knows more about local maritime history than you will find anywhere, and you are guaranteed to enjoy your cruise.

Even if you are a local this is a must do-- even better on a sunny day. Nice boat with history itself and outing is just the right length of time.

They provide (or sell, rather) warm drinks for you to enjoy while you're looking out over the bay and learning about local history. A great afternoon. Also we saw a rat under the dock while we were boarding--bonus wildlife!!
