This was NOT your usual trail ride! It was so exciting - the trail was difficult but doable for this novice rider. The horses were NOT your usual nags. You could tell these gals were well trained and cared for. It was a great experience...More

Had a great one hour ride through the woods with the family. They were excellent at making sure everyone was comfortable with their horse before heading on the trail. Our guide was Jules, she was excellent!! Highly recommend!

It was a great excursion for a late Sunday afternoon. It was my first time on a horse since injuring my tailbone several years ago. Jules picked a great horse for me which made the ride enjoyable and my back was not in pain afterwards....More

My husband and I, who are two active individuals, greatly enjoyed the 2-hour ride. Our experience with Yosemite Trails Saddle was even off to a wonderful start before the day we arrived. When I called about reservation options, Nishma also provided a lot of helpful...More

I read the reviews and wanted to avoid this place but they were the only one with openings. (wonder why?) They truly do weigh you in front of everyone, as if that has anything to do with an experienced rider. It is really really a...More

For those of you reading the previous review, I would like to make a couple clarification. We do occasionally weigh guests upon "check in" but this is done very respectfully and no one can see the weight except our employee. We realize being weighed makes...More

I go horseback riding in order to see more than I can on foot. This ride is just around a big meadow. Two hours in a saddle on a "rocking horse" (well trained, nose to tail) is not worth the time or money. The guide...More

Hello Contradancer, You have us confused with Big Tree Stables in Wowona. Our 2 hour ride goes up a river canyon not around a meadow.

I have to start with saying that the crew that greeted and checked our family in was very friendly. We have been on several horse back riding rides out west but this one was different. It's a very slow mountainous, rocky trail. The trail was...More

After spending a week galloping about at the hideout in Wyoming, you have to really wonder why I persuaded the blonde to go on a trail ride. Our reason was that we had driven on some excellent backcountry roads and thought it would be nice...More

The TripAdvisor rating was right on. Great staff! Beautiful setting! Easy riding for those of us who ride once every 30 years or so. Fine horses. The staff oriented us very quickly and led us on a well-traveled, but moderately demanding ride through wonderful woods....More

June is typically very mild but we are located at 5000 ft so if you are going on the morning Vista Pass 2 hour ride I would recommend bring a light jacket or sweater.
