The Museum at Coyote Hills has a nice presentation of animal and plant species that are at the park, as well as some information on the Ohlone Indians that settled the area. They also have a very nice little store and well maintained restrooms.

Interesting collection of Ohlone Indian artifacts and a replica reed boat. Nice display of Indian tools and on the weekends they often have demonstrations of food preparation and other aspects of Indian life.

This is a small museum with quite good displays and exhibits which give fabulous insights on the history of the local inhabitants. The garden area outside the museum building is also quite beautiful.

This is a good learning experience. Learn about the Native American who lived here, and the resources they used. There are examples of birds/animal that live here in this environment. Then go outside and take a hike/walk around the grounds and see the living history. Good family time!

There are picnic tables outside in a shaded tree area. Also on Wednesdays, you can see the pretty garden area (on other days take a peak through the fence area). This museum is part of... More

This is an impressive museum for such a small regional park. The volunteers and staff do a great job and have a lot of activities for families to do on their visit.

This serene (and huge!) park is part of the East Bay Regional Park Distict -- on Fremont Bay's shoreline. It's a rich wetland that has been preserved, full of hundreds of species of birds & other wildlife, along with Ohlone Indian shellmounds. I really liked their Visitor Center. It has information & exhibits about the Ohlone way of life, and... More
