I live in the same city as this mission, but have only been here twice. However, both times it didn't hesitate to astonish. Most recently I was there for a wedding. The church is beautiful, the grounds are beautiful, and it's a wonderful experience.

The Mission of San Jose is super charming! It's from 1797 and has been nicely renovated and preserved. Nice little Museum, and the sanctuary has that adobe flair.

The site was very small without too much to see. Its story wasn't told in an interesting/engaging way by its exhibits. It is not worth for its ticket price.

Old mission, wood pews and all. Went to see a choral group for a Christmas concert. Sat about midway in the church and the accoustics were great. I'd go again for a similar event.

My husband and I visited this old Church a few years ago, and you would see how beautiful the Church is. Its very solemn even if they already turned the said Church into a museum.

The sanctuary is beautiful, the history is very interesting, especially for anyone not that familiar with California history.

We've been to the Mission many times. Our son and his wife were married in the Old Mission Church back in 1998. It was a beautiful event. There have been many weddings performed there. The rest of the grounds are simple and nice. They have...More
