This zoo by far has created a very special animal habitat. Ever since the new caretaker took his position at the zoo he has transformed the zoo into a show place worth exsperiencing. From the underwater world of the sea lion cove, stingray bay and the African adventure. You will finish your day amazed at what you have just exsperienced.... More

I love our zoo! They have done so much work to it, and the staff seems to genuinely care about the animals. I loved it so much this is the second year I have bought season passes!

When you enter the zoo and walk around the different exhibits, you forget you are in downtown Fresno. The animals are all well-cared for and the staff are very attentive and informative. Just a great day with the family!!

Our kids love this place. We never get tired of it. It's a financial win over many other family adventures available in the Central Valley. Consistent new attractions over the last 10 years has made the Chaffee zoo our number 1 place to go on a whim and it's only getting better. Concessions are reasonably priced and much cheaper than... We visited as something to fill time when we could not make a trip to Yosemite. It was a very pleasant surprise. The zoo is well maintained and easy to get around. Very stroller friendly and the animals are in exhibits that are easily viewed. We took our time and saw everything in about 3 hours, which was a pleasant... More

Wonderful family environment. Know several people who volunteer there and they love the interaction with the public. And it shows since there is always someone there to answer a question or tell a story. Great outing for young kids. When in Fresno, this is a must!!!

Took the grandkids to it again and this time we were treated to the expanded "African Adventure" section. Nice to see the animals in a non-caged environment. The visitor amenities were very nice also.

The new African area is amazing. So beautiful and well done. It is worth a visit for sure. I love this zoo because it is so easy to get around. They animals are up close and personal. For a small town this zoo is right at the top of zoos to visit.

After growing up with the San Diego zoo, This is much different. I have to say though, That the new African safari part of the zoo was amazing and very clean. Impressive display of the animals and separation of the exhibits. This is worth the visit just for this alone.
