A wonderful place to visit in Glen Ellen! Jack London's Beauty Ranch is special. The walk to his Wolf House is a must to see the home Jack never lived in. The museum is fascinating with wonderful artifacts from his world travels. Come and explore a treasure.

To those who don't know Jack London, he was one of the great American writers in the early 1900's. Died at age 40 perhaps from mercury poisoning. He bought a ranch near Glen Ellen, California to get away from the crowds and the state of California turned it into a beautiful park. The house where he lived with his wife... More

We went on a rainy Sunday, but still enjoyed a wonderful docent led walk to the wolf house ruins. The museum is also really informative. I don't think I have ever read anything by London, but I think I might try one of his books after this visit. Can't wait to come back in the spring. We didn't make it... More

The park is lovely with great trails and walks. That's why my husband and I went there. We were not expecting the Wolf House ruins, the graves, or the museum full of interesting points of interest about London's adventuresome life. There is an entrance fee - we did only the smaller part of the park with the above and felt... More

My partner and I had no idea there would be so much to see and experience about Jack London. The house of Happy Walls, the Beauty Ranch, the information - and the beauty! Amazing.

I might be a little biased because my fiance proposed to me here last weekend under the heritage oak tree. That being said, the park is very scenic and has something to suit everyone. There are walking trails, picnic sites, scenic vistas, ruins, etc. It's definitely worth a visit if you're in the area!

This museum is the real McCoy, with lots of personal memorabilia of Jack London, and so much information about his life and life at the turn of the century in Sonoma and around the world for this most prolific and gone too soon author. The ruins of the "Wolf House" could be in a movie; truly spectacular in the midst... More

My wife and I were in San Francisco for a long weekend and decided to trip up to Sonoma to check out the wine country. I remembered that Jack London had built a home nearby and 34 years prior I had foregone the opportunity to visit. It was a beautiful area with hiking trails, multiple domiciles of the London family... More

We went on a Sunday, missed the 1pm tour so we joined the 1:30pm Beauty Ranch tour, which I learned a lot. I did not realize how popular Jack London is in Russia, holy heck, like 80% of visitors in the park are Russians! Apparently, Jack London's books are required readings in Russian schools. The tour guide said Jack London... More

We went with another couple and enjoyed the walk through the park. The trees and vines are really incredible and the misty backdrop make for a mystical experience. I'd highly recommend.
