Came here with 15 friends, so we had 8 rooms on the second floor of this historical hotel. Each room, while dated was quite charming and named after famous people of the gold rush days. Room 1 had a fireplace, a large balcony and was great for the cocktail gathering before our dinner party. The chef prepared some of the... More

I ate here after sightseeing in the area. The Holbrooke Hamburger is absolutely the best! I love the charm and history of old gold mining towns!

Met some friends for drinks at 6pm. Good scene for that. But since closure of adjacent restaurant they offer dinner in the bar only. Not a great atmosphere for that. Saw a young couple get seated for dinner close to our drinking group and they left after a few minutes. Live music was ok. The entire ambiance is a bit... More

We had to move some of our wedding party here from a different hotel. The staff was very friendly, and very accommodating, providing the rooms we needed for all our guests. I could numerous times, to confirm rooms, etc. and the staff was very patient and friendly. The location is in a nice setting, and the rooms are quaint and... More

We rented the library after our daughter's wedding for the people that wanted to continue the party! They were very accommodating and had large trays of bar food served on tables in the library. Worked great for the after 11pm crowd!
