Always a favorite. The best free parking on the coast! Below average bathrooms. No water service. But plenty of parking, even on busy weekends. Check the tide charts if you are interested in tidepooling.

You can take a long walk o. this beach with spectacular views! Pack a picnic lunch and spend the day sunning on the long sandy beach awaiting the sunset.

Easy to get down to the beach. Clean beach. Usual beach bathrooms (ugh). I like this beach much better than Half Moon Bay or San Gregorio, much cleaner, and easier to get down to the beach.

a great place to experience the Pacific Ocean without crowds, dogs or commercialism; spent many hours here with my young children and husband; a wonderful day trip from the pressures of city life

Never fails to please. But remember sunscreen, shovels, buckets, something waterproof to sit on, sweaters, and a camera.

Very nice beach if you have to be in the area but there are a lot more scenic ones a lot closer both north and south of San Francisco.

Not very crowded so you can spend a relaxed day at the beach. The sand is not filthy.Love the waves there too. Take some food as there are no onsite eating places.
