We camp at the State Campground every year. Always have a good time. Weather is sometimes unpredictable. Can be windy!!

Great place to walk with your pooch or friends. Great place to take a long walk by yourself. Winter or summer it's a great place. So picturesque and serene. Great place if you want to take great pictures.

It was a cold day, and a bit windy, but the walk along the beach, and along the upper pathways provided a wonderful respite and beautiful scenery. Highly recommend not missing this beautiful spot.

You'll see the best Sunset anywhere on this beach. The geology is extremely interesting also. Google geology of Half Moon Bay before going here, and your experience will be much better.

I walked along the beach and watched the surfers and the waves. Beautiful beach area. There is a campground there also. $10 to park but there is street parking free. Picnic table, grills, benches abound.

After eating lunch, we would always walk this beach. We found the beach to be pretty clean. This is where we started our beach walk and then drive up the coast to do some more beach walking. Very relaxing.

We drove out here for real waves but there weren’t any, but we still got to enjoy the beach and scenery. Will try again another time

Most surfers go to Pacifica and relatively fewer people show up at this beach. You will need to go down hill to the beach from the parking space. The road isn't paved and very slippery. Elderly people will find it hard to walk down, but...More

I stayed at the Half Moon Bay campground about a mile south of the center of town. At that point the sandy beach is about a hundred feet below a bluff. Going north there is a trail along the bluff for a half mile or so. Then... More

The walk-in sites are within 50 yards of parking. There is one small parking area at that corner of the campground that is for the exclusive use of tent campers. If you go to Google Earth it will take you to Dunes Beach... More
