We stayed at the campground at the State Beach, the campground had the best views and sound of any I have stayed at. The constant pounding of the surf put us to sleep every night. We stayed over a weekend and the visitors to the beach areas destroyed the park each day and night. Going for a walk in the... More

Sit here for half an hour and I bet you will forget the world. The waves are so vigorous that it is utter beauty! Windy, pleasant and all the positive things only help me feel stress-free. The crowd isn't much too.

Cool vibe. Tide pools at Moss beach, cliff walks, nice beaches & marina. Great CA beach town famous for Mavericks surfing competition (recommend the movie!!)

We love this beach, have been coming here for 30 years and love every trip. There is a nice visitors center with Wi-Fi and camp ground nearby. Our last trip was met with a couple of surprises. The wash off station was shut off due to the excuse of a drought and they keep upping the price to get in.... More

First beach I have ever been in California. Great views, amazing sunset. Whale watching. Great place to spend the day and great restaurants to go at night.

Beautiful beach a little windy but beautiful. Nice hiking trail next to the ocean. My wife and I just sat there looking at waves and ocean view.

We used to camp at the campgrounds here. Always fun. We moved to Half Moon Bay a couple years ago so camp at home! Wish dogs could run free of leashes

Pricey state beach campground close to San Francisco. Beautiful beach and views. Lots of foliage near campsites closest to water. Stairs to beach, great sunsets! We paid about $80 US for a campsite per night. If you really want to camp at the beach it is worth it, however you can nearly get a hotel in downtown SF for this!

I suggest planning to walk along the coastal path to several public and beautiful beaches. The path is miles long.

Nice , clean beach with easy access (parking is $10 :-)) I visited on April evening. Air was not cold & fresh. Lots of place to roam around & see various views. I did not see many swimmer or surfers, May be, the beach is not safe. I did not see any lifeguards too. This month, the bushes/plants near the... More
