We found it by accident on trip adviser and went there. The tour in the mines are cool to see and they let you find gold in from the sand. The town julian is also cute, like the time stood still.

had a fabulous time with Craig on this amazing informative tour inside a real gold mine. Panned for gold ( found some) catch and release!! Awesome and reasonable gift shop. My grandkids loved it.

Sure, as long as you don't want to take them into the mine. Seriously, though, it is a very dog friendly town. One cafe owner has her dog at the restaurant.
