The guide knew stuff and was well versed in the history and geology of the mine and very entertaining but in a closed mine his BO was overwhelming.

I wish Inhad rememberd our guides name- he gave a very informative and knowledgable tour of the mine. We got to see equipment from the day and get a feel what it was like for the gold miners. We enjoyed this visit.

Bit scary going through the tunnels but fascinating tour. Need to duck down at times. Thorough explanations of the excavation methods and what the miners went through to get their gold

Tour costs $10 for adult and $5 for kids. Guides are descendants of original mine owner - and grew up at the mine site. Well worth a few hours

A couple of the women who had dresses on went up last because the small "stairs" were more like a latter with about 20 steps up. Not wheelchair accessible, but not at all strenuous either.

Sorry, just seeing this question. It’s a little chilly in Feb, of course depending on the day. I am not sure if they are open Year-round, I would suggest calling. They are super friendly and helpful :)
