We loved this hike. It was a little more strenuous than advertised with some uphill, but didn't mind the workout. Parker Lake is beautiful - got some amazing photos. Be sure to take some bug spray as some of our group got several mosquito bites...

This is a pleasant, moderate hike with the nice of reward of an attractive lake. The trail was quite busy during our visit in August. I could have done without the large, loud group of potty mouthed college aged kids at the lake. Hats, sunscreen...More

This lake is gorgeous at any time of the year (when the road is open), but when the fall foliage is at its peak, it's magical. ROAD: The road off of the June Lakes loop is gravel. Portions of it have washboard and it gets...More

I was part of group of adults and two small dogs that took this hike recently. We didn't even make it to the lake because of the heat and lack of shade on this trail. There is a fairly decent incline at the start and...More

There are many lovely lakes around which to hike and the hiking varies from mild to strenuous. This lake also affords beautiful scenery.

Your perception/rating of this hike will depend on what you are looking for and your physical condition. Sure there are more spectacular views on other trails but you have to work harder for them. They will take more time and may not be suitable for...More

I agree with the previous reviewer. I had a rental Ford Fusion which managed it OK, but it's certainly bumpy!...

Hiking shoe is okay. No loose rocks or scrabbling. I wore athletic shoes with some tread. One of the best hikes in the area. Enjoy your holiday.
