Maybe the most beautiful place I've seen in China. Plenty of different rooms and spaces full of color and interesting explanations that let you understand a little bit about the configuration of the temple.

I have been to many many temples in China but this one really stands out. One thing I haven't seen before is a room for the Kitchen God/Goddess. Definitely recommended for people who haven't been to many temples in China and for people who have been to many temples. The "performance" wasn't really worth sticking around for. It was very... A collection of traditional buildings with statues to a variety of gods. Set in a series of pleasant courtyards, the temple takes about 40 minutes to see. The depiction of hell is interesting and quite gruesome - quite scary for youngsters!

Our driver made sure a temple guide bring us around after entering the ground, assuring us it is free. First, we were recommended to pick up a slip of talisman, usually given free in a temple. Next stop, a girl folded the talisman and gave a spill on "prayer sincerity". She also despatched men first before women, effectively cutting communication... More
