As you can imagine the island is very primitive, the guide service would be rated a "C". However, the dragons are well worth the trip to see. Not much of an infrastructure. This was a side trip off a world cruise and was a "can't...More

The park entry fee is 250,000, which seems a lot for the state of the park (disaster). We did have the rangers to "protect" us and we did see the 3 resident dragons on the beach and 2 others including a baby on the run....More

I took a tour of Komodo National Park and had a great time. Komodo and Padar Islands both had excellent hikes, with the former providing the chance to see several Komodo dragons. The other islands had a variety of beaches and swimming and diving spots....More

Indonesia has done wonderfully to preserve the delicate ecosystems living in Komodo National Park. I don't know how I'll ever be able to snorkel anywhere else after seeing the diversity of the marine life and coral. I hope it stays this pristine forever!

Visited Komodo Island as part of a day boat excursion. The entrance fee for the park which includes a guide is not included in the excursion cost so you pay that when you get there. After arriving at Komodo park there was a lot of...More

Went there on a cruise, unfortunate thing was the lack of time there. Luckely we managed to see four of those magnifecent creatures. The rangers there took good care and made sure nobody was in actual danger. All in all, loved the experience

I was very excited about visiting Komodo as seeing the dragons has long been on my wish list. We took a boat from Labuan Bajo via Padar Island (stunning views) passing impressively craggy islands in a turquoise sea. As we approached Komodo, we could see...More

I am not so sure about a cruise ship’s protocol. I did not go there on a cruise ship but on a “live on board a boat package” and the boat took us there. Visitors must be accompanied by armed (with wooden staffs) rangers... More
