The ONLY reason not to visit is parking can be challenging. It's classic California. Arrive early to avoid parking issues and enjoy the day. I've been here for 40 years and still love Heisler Park.

A lot of fun exploring the rocks and sea life. Wear sandals because they are some tricky areas to navigate.

Incredible tidal pools, nature up close and in person. We had crazy warm weather Dec2015, up to 80 degrees, so unseasonably warm which certainly had positive effect on me.

The tide pools are easily accessible. We loved hanging out on the rocks and enjoying the sights. I could not ask for a better morning as not very many people were there at 10:30 am on a Sunday.

Check the tides before you go. Low tide is best for exploring the miriad of tide pools here. Either take Main Beach and head north or walk down the steps from Heisler park. Kids and grown up kids love this place.

If you love to just explore tide pools and sit on the rocks, this is a nice place. Make sure you wear shoes coz of the rocks.

This is a absolutely beautiful location. Steps and pathways take you down to the water. Breaktaking when the surf is big.
