Good hiking in the middle of a city

If you are looking for exercise this is a good place to go. Not exciting scenery, but good trails for good exercise.

This is the place to unwind. The rain made this wilderness so wilder, lush and blooming wild flowers. Also a great biking trail. There are caves (dripping and rock) don't forget to find them, they are marked!

This is close to us so we do this a few times every year with the kids. It is about a 6 mile round trip from the parking lot to Cave Rock and then Dripping Cave. The kids love getting into the little caves in Cave Rock and playing around Dripping Cave. Couple things to watch out: - There are... More

Wonderful wilderness experience with paved trails for bikes or hiking trails and even mountain bike trails. Seasonal flowers and wildlife. I've seen dear and coyote, rabbits and egrets. There is a small waterfall about 2 miles down the path. The path is a gentle downhill towards the beach but does not go all the way through. Parking is one price... More

For many in the south OC Costal area this park offers excellent mountain bike trails. I have seen, Bobcat, Deer, Road Runners, Fox, Coyote, Heron, Snakes, Hawks and racoon. Duck (seen those too) into nature and enjoy the sage breeze smell and California wilderness without taking a big slice out of your day.

Great trails to get away from it all. You can go from a mild hike to a more strenuous one it's up to the individual. Trails lead you to a variety of sights from a Dripping Cave, A Car that had gone off the highway years ago to an Ocean View. I have run across wild life such as rabbits,... More

Great starting point to take either a leisurely stroll or branch out and complete a 12 mi hike. Great facilities at the parking lot, well maintained trail system open to all
