Spotted this golf course. With all the mountains in the background it was irresistible. This is just a 9 hole course, pretty simple, VERY laid back with great views of the surrounding mountains and dessert. Caution, the fairways are really rough, bouncy.

This nine hole course is one of the most scenic on earth! with the Alabama Hills, Lone Pine Peak and Mt Whitney to the West and the Inyo Mountains to the East the views are incredible. The course is fun and known for having "the fastest greens in the West". Founded in 1958 the course had started to show its... More

If you want to play golf in Lone Pine, this is the place to do it. Is scenic, is a fun 9 hole course. It will not take long - in the summer recommend starting early or doing it late in the day as its hot in the day. While its a fun course, if in the Inyo County area,... More

Probably two and a half stars would be a more accurate rating. This 9-hole course has an interesting and challenging layout; unfortunately, it's just not well maintained. The greens are in pretty good shape, but the tee boxes, fairways and areas around the greens range from O.K. to "pasture-like." I'm guessing that funding is an issue. Too bad, because the... More

This is a 9-hole course on the south edge of Lone Pine. I played there twice and both times I was one of the only people on the course. The fairways are in rough shape and the greens are only a little better, but that's typical of a lot of public courses in California right now because of the drought... More

This golf course is fabulous. No crowds, a view of the highest peak in the continental US: Mt. Whitney, low green fees, and a challenging 9 hole course.
