We tend to stop by any aquarium when we are travelling so have seen quite a few. This one is way up there for me. I really encourage you to visit their website to see details of what exactly they have because it is a...More

If visiting Long Beach, definitely worth looking at but I felt a little costly for the time spent there.

Plenty to see and well presented with as much information as you care to take in! There were excellent shows with feeding of sharks, penguins and otters. This aquarium was considerably cheaper than others in the area.

I visited the aquarium on some downtime and would consider it an average facility which makes the ticket prices seem to be on the high side. The exhibits are nice and the facility is clean. I am sure kids think it is awesome but make...More

We purchased a family membership around November 2016 for $100 and we've already used it for more than 5x! We just love the aquarium, we would go there everyday if we lived in that area. We've went on different days, best day I would say...More

This place has a great layout and a great collection of jellyfish and sea dragons. The leafy sea dragons are spectacular! They also have sharks, starfish, penguins you name it! Great place to go solo or with friends and absolutely kid friendly. Anytime I have...More

We've been members here for a long time and really enjoy this excellent Aquarium. The variety of habitats and all the animals are the best part of the facility - this is a top level aquarium that has touch ponds, for bat rays, small sharks,...More

How long is the line up to buy tickets if I go on a Sunday around 11 am? Some people in the group didn't buy tivkets online and I'm thinking if I should help them buy to save time. Thank you.

At that time it will probably be pretty long. If possible, get there when the ticket office opens to avoid the long lines

Hi! We are considering doing a whale watching tour at the aquarium in a couple weeks. Will I be able to safely bring my 2 year old, or is there an age restriction on the tours? What can we expect?

The whale watching tour would be fine for a 2 year old - the downstairs indoor seating area is enclosed (no chance of falling overboard!) and has huge windows so you can still see really well.

Hi! We haven't bought tickets yet but as part of our vacation, we were thinking of going on Monday morning 5/15. Do you think it will be overly packed at that time? Is that known to be a field trip day? Also, how much time do you think we should plan to spend there? We have a 18 month old and my sister who is a teenager will be with us. Is this a few hour thing or an all day thing? Has anyone used ticketsatwork website to purchase tickets? Any tips are welcome. Thanks!

Hi Christina! While we can't guarantee how busy it'll be on the day of your visits, weekday mornings are usually on the quiet side. Our guests typically spend about 3 hours exploring the Aquarium. This can be extended by... More
