Three separate tours taken - staff friendly but NO TOILETS in the smaller 20 seat buses and poor traffic planning.

Booked three separate tours with this company before I left Australia. One to Universal Hollywood, one to San Diego Zoo and one to Legoland. Nowhere on the site did they mention that only the large coach was fitted with a toilet and was used only for very large groups - all other tours were arranged in smaller toilet-less buses. Considering... More

Took the celebrity home tour with my daughter. Lots of homes are very far from view, however some you get to see up close and personal. My favorite was the circular house on stilts that was desired on lethal weapon2. There's not alot of stopping, it's more like.. Slow down, take your picture or look at the house and leave.... More

Six and a half hour tour with Alan. He recommended the group miss the down town part of the tour and include Malibu. That was definitely a good decision. You get to see lots of star homes and also spend time on Venice Beach and Santa Monica pier. Really enjoyed both but Venice was just unusual in a fun way!!... More

We had a tour planned with starline tour, we were in a rush to reach the meeting point so we took a taxi to reach the theater, but when we arrive they just told us there was no evening tour that night, even tough I had the booking confirmation in my hands. 100$ bill of taxi and 1h30 of traffic... We couldn't not do a celebrity homes tour while we were in LA! Starline Tours seems the most popular, is advertised all over Hollywood and offers lots of different times. Our tour guide was Claudette and honestly she WAS the tour! The homes were cool to see and we enjoyed driving up and down the fancy streets of Bel Air... More

We booked a shuttle and entry into Universal for a pick up from Ayres Hotel knowing that Universal was about 45 minutes from the hotel. We booked an early morning pickup to maximise our time at Universal. We had a very nice driver collect us from the hotel but then he took us to the Starline office, apparently we needed... More

We were in LA for a couple of days prior to our cruise. We wanted to see the more famous parts of the city we had heard so much about. Researching on the internet, we found the easiest and most economical way to do this was to use Starline Tours. Originally we were going to do the Universal tour but... More

Went on combined warner brother studio tour and movie star homes tour warner brothers was awesome the homes tour however was dreadful were shown less than 10 homes most of which could not be seen properly the tour was expensive enough without the guide displaying a large sign demanding a specific and excessive amount as a tip.

I would avoid Starline tours if it is possible to use another company (but it is very difficult as Starline seems to have a stranglehold with most travel companies and hotel concierges). We had to use them a couple of times. Had a real problem with them not honouring a tour we had purchased in Australia and basically leaving us... More

We bought a 3 day pass which we used to get around to The buses were fine and the guided tour using headphones is a good idea but Hollywood area is overrated.I enjoyed the trip to Santa Monica and being able to get on and off at various location.

Staying in Hollywood

Neighbourhood Profile
Hollywood
Hollywood undoubtedly conjures up images of movie stars and high-end lifestyles, and to this day, tourists flock here from around the world to see the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame, Chinese Theatre and to catch a glimpse of the famed Hollywood sign up close. Celebrity impersonators and crowds give these areas the feeling of an amusement park while many clubs and hotels fill up around the weekends for late-night partying - the Hollywood club scene is a haven for thumping music and table-side bottle service. But parties aren’t the only way to enjoy this area, many visitors come to the neighborhood to sit back with a picnic to watch a performance at the Hollywood Bowl and those looking to stay fit trek along nature trails in the Hollywood hills and in Griffith Park.
