Man, if you do nothing else in LA make sure you do this tour. If you have any interest in Manson this is awesome. The knowledge that Scott holds re Manson is beyond belief. Tour lasted 4 hours, all on a minibus including film footage and Scott talking. Gives you a good tour Hollywood too.

Having thoroughly enjoyed the Tragical History Tour a few years back we decided to go on the Helter Skelter tour when we were next in LA. Once again the Dearly Departed Tour proved to be one of the highlights of the vacation !! However things didn't start out too well - our tour guide Scott arrived at 9am in something... More

This tour was AWESOME! Very interesting, and an amazing tour guide. You get to roam around Hollywood with an Undertaker and learn about nearby haunted hotspots. Totally worth checking out!!!

We have taken this tour 4 or 5 times--- it's THAT good! We're local and love hearing the history of Los Angeles---the spookier side of course! We've brought friends who have all enjoyed it; a few of our friends made us promise they wouldn't get "scared" ---there's none of that. No one jumps out at you to try to scare... More

The tour is a great way to experience a few death's of the Hollywood crowd. The tour guide was funny and knowledgable of the stars. Well worth the money and it was a fun and entertaining afternoon. Not set up for anyone with a physical disability. Especially, not for a wheelchair user. Meaybe the tour owners can work on becoming... More

Brian was our tour guide and he was great. He has a passion for this and it shows! Loved hearing all of his stories and the little tid bits of information as we drove around. Great tour, well worth the time and money.

My wife and I took the Dearly Departed Tragical History Tour last week and we loved it. Last time we visited Hollywood we did the typical Celebrity Home Tour (through another company) and wanted to do something different this time. Our tour guide Brian was brilliant and engaged all of us in the history of the morbid things we expected... More

Our guide Brian was awesome. Really knew a lot about the area. He was very fun and energetic. He went out of his way to show us not only the crime scenes but also other interesting things about the area. I would definitely recommend this tour. It was one of our favorite excursions in LA.

Staying in Hollywood

Neighbourhood Profile
Hollywood
Hollywood undoubtedly conjures up images of movie stars and high-end lifestyles, and to this day, tourists flock here from around the world to see the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame, Chinese Theatre and to catch a glimpse of the famed Hollywood sign up close. Celebrity impersonators and crowds give these areas the feeling of an amusement park while many clubs and hotels fill up around the weekends for late-night partying - the Hollywood club scene is a haven for thumping music and table-side bottle service. But parties aren’t the only way to enjoy this area, many visitors come to the neighborhood to sit back with a picnic to watch a performance at the Hollywood Bowl and those looking to stay fit trek along nature trails in the Hollywood hills and in Griffith Park.
