We're a light-hearted look at the Dark Side of Hollywood. Since 2004 Dearly Departed Tours has provided a 3 hour tour of the Deathstyles of the Rich and Famous. Mae West and Bela Lugosi, to Whitney Houston and Michael Jackson, with a side of Hugh Grant and Chris Brown and Rihanna thrown in for good measure. "Creepy, Hilarious, but not for kids or the prissy." - Lonely Planet. Also available, The Helter Skelter Tour - based solely on the Manson Murders. Join Scott Michaels, the host of the documentary, The Six Degrees of Helter Skelter will unravel this bizarre time in American History. American Horror Story based their "Eternal Darkness Tour" on us and we've been featured on Ghost Adventures, Anthony Bourdain's The Layover, E! 20 Most Horrifying Hollywood Murders and The Girls Next Door. In 2017 we opened our Artifact Museum which includes a piece of The Hindenburg, Rock Hudson's death bed, Natalie Wood's prescription bottle and Jayne Mansfield's 1966 Buick death car.

I did the Helter Skelter tour with Dearly Departed. If you know anything about Charles Manson and his "family," it's that those years, and all of the following, were sad, scary, and heartbreaking. It's incredible how tightly our nation is still gripped by these crimes....More

Brian was the perfect blend of macabre and delightful - we had a fantastic, highly entertaining tour and were equal parts fascinated and pleasantly creeped out.

Information overload but in a good way. Scott is very knowledgeable and loves to share his love of the macabre. Spend the extra $5 and get the museum as well. If you are worried about it being gruesome, don't. Scott takes great care to warn...More

Our tour was so much fun! We saw many sites of places we had seen in the news from many years back. Not only do you see places of death but also of scandals. We did not get to go to the Hollywood Forever cemetery...More

Hollywood undoubtedly conjures up images of movie
stars and high-end lifestyles, and to this day,
tourists flock here from around the world to see the
iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame, Chinese Theatre and to
catch a glimpse of the famed Hollywood sign up close.
Celebrity impersonators and crowds give these areas
the feeling of an amusement park while many clubs and
hotels fill up around the weekends for late-night
