We recently saw "Kinky Boots" at the Pantages. We have lived in Southern Cal for many years and it was our first visit to the theater. We were not disappointed. The theater reminds me of a Broadway theater. Not too large, excellent sound, and easy access. Located on Hollywood Blvd. near Vine. There are several ways to get there, car... More

The Pantages Theater is a fabulous theater to see a show; historic, elegant, beautiful, old world charm, fabulous acoustics, small, every seat in the house is a good seat. A must do, a must experience. Just saw Kinky Boots at the Pantages. Great show. They have even improved the parking situation around the Pantages. The Pantages Theater is where i... More

Saw kinky boots, which was phenomenal- but made even better in this beautiful theatre setting. I mean, wow! 1930's decor and charm- just beautiful!

This place is like stepping back in time. My wife and I have seen Cats, The Phantom of the Opera, Wicked and many other performances and we love it. It is like going back in time, very well kept, staff is always friendly. However it does get crowded depending on the show you there to see so make sure to... More

limited parking and food options, but was worth the trip and standing in line when we won one freebie to see Wicked and got a front row seat, if you have to go to little girls room at intermission there is a l-o-n-g line

Plenty of parking lots, but also across the street from a metro subway stop! Enjoy people watching or walking along the "stars" in the sidewalks before the show. Beautiful restored interiors set this place apart!

The theater presents popular musicals like Kinky Boots and the Lion King. It is beautiful with lots of gold molding and decorations. THe acoustics with miked performances create a problem for every performance there, they turn up the volume so loud I cannot understand what people are saying, expecially when there are many people singing together. BUt, for visuals and... More

The parking has gotten really bad. You have to walk through a very bad area to get to your car--hopefully that will change. there are bad seats here, but the experience is super enjoyable if you get a good seat. They pick the best musicals! they also have good speakers--Alton Brown. The 2016-17 season is amazing.

My first trip to the Pantages Theatre was about 47years ago, when my dad took me to see Jane Powel and Howard Keel in “South Pacific.” I remember it was a very happy time. The Pantages is a wonderful old theatre located on the “Walk of Fame” near the corner of Hollywood and Vine. The theatre itself is a work... More

This theater is just beautiful to go visit just by itself even if there is no show on! I kept looking at all the details until they turned off the lights for our show to begin. We watched the Illusionists, it was a very nice show.

Staying in Hollywood

Neighbourhood Profile
Hollywood
Hollywood undoubtedly conjures up images of movie stars and high-end lifestyles, and to this day, tourists flock here from around the world to see the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame, Chinese Theatre and to catch a glimpse of the famed Hollywood sign up close. Celebrity impersonators and crowds give these areas the feeling of an amusement park while many clubs and hotels fill up around the weekends for late-night partying - the Hollywood club scene is a haven for thumping music and table-side bottle service. But parties aren’t the only way to enjoy this area, many visitors come to the neighborhood to sit back with a picnic to watch a performance at the Hollywood Bowl and those looking to stay fit trek along nature trails in the Hollywood hills and in Griffith Park.
