This is the email I sent to Jay Headley the General Manager of Skybar. Hi Jay, I wanted to thank you in person when we left on Saturday night but you were busy and I did not want to disturb you. I sent an email thanking Erica at The Ivory the other day and wanted to make sure to email... More

I don't really know what to say, if you like pretentious people over priced drinks, slow service and a wack DJ be my guest. I was a guest at the hotel but you'd think I walked in off the street! The view is over rated, pool is small, the whole area is small really. Ok to chill and grab some... More

I visited Sky Bar recently. It had a fun environment, beautiful scenery. Definitely a hang out for younger adults. Drinks were extremely over priced, of course. The only two bartenders working were vey rude as well. The pros & cons way themselves out to fit an average rating

Drinks are great but very pricey. Both food and service are good. very young crowd. If you are a single guy, go on a Friday afternoon in the summer. 90% of the chaise Lounges are covered with beautiful young women in bikinis.Beware that the Sky Zebra does not validate parking which is $20. Abating your wallet!

This place used to be hot, and therefore, pretentious, now it's just pretentious. We went for a drink early, so we didn't see the party scene, it didn't start yet but the service is nonexistent, we waited what seemed like forever for a waitress to show up, she informed us that "The table is reserved and the SECOND the party... The Mondrian is one of LA's coolest hotels and Sky Bar doesn't disappoint... laze around the pool while taking in the sparking lights of LA. The staff and friendly and accommodating and the cocktails are lethal. Great for people watching and even a little star spotting - get there early if you want to get in.

We visited the Sky Bar on our recent trip to LA, the service is really good and our waitress was pleasant and welcoming. We had a poolside / window seat with fantastic views over LA. It's is a trendy place, so make sure you book as it gets busy. Only down side is its a little pricey - but with... More

I've been to this multiple times. It's got a lovely bar area around the pool. The nights here are always loud. The drinks are a tad expensive but this place is a lot of fun.

Staying in West Hollywood

Neighbourhood Profile
West Hollywood
For years, West Hollywood has been known as a hub for the LGBT communities in Los Angeles. Today it still maintains the title, but has also become the “it” neighborhood for the entertainment industry’s up-and-comers. Producers, directors, writers and aspiring actors call this area home. Known for great boutique shopping, vintage clothing stores, home décor shops and fitness studios, West Hollywood is a grid of wide boulevards and narrow residential streets. The neighborhood also has a concentration of the most avant-garde restaurants in Los Angeles (rivaled only by the burgeoning restaurant scene Downtown). A trip to the iconic Sunset Strip, with its many clubs, music venues, hotels and flashing lights won’t be forgotten.
