Theatre is famous for hoisting Oscar awards. But it hoist other shows too. Location is perfect. The staircase, architectures are majestic. But needs time to explore the theatre.

Whilst we didn't have time to go in an see a film whilst we were visiting Hollywood Boulevard, it was great to stop along the way and see where all of the winners of the Academy Awards go to receive their Oscars each year. It's very busy so you have to wait a while if you want to get a... More

While a bit price for a 30 minute tour ($22 + tax per person at the time of this writing), the tour is excellent as it takes you through the Dolby theater describing the Oscar venue and how it operates on Oscar night! You'll visit key areas of the theater and get to see where all the big stars are... More

Firstly the tour is only 30 mins so if you're looking for an in depth tour of every corner of the theatre you're going to be disappointed. The info in the box office and on the website clearly state the length of time and areas covered. Our guide, Julissa, was brilliant. Informative, helpful and delivered in a lively fashion with... This site is famous because all OSCAR award giving ceremonies are conducted over here only. The theatre is beautiful, with small seats. All Oscar winners names are placed on a vertical row with the year. it is amazing that such great winners have attended the ceremony over there. There is a mall attached and also parking slots below. The guide,... More

Back on Wednesday, November 30, 2016, I participated in a March from Hollywood Boulevard and Schrader up to the Dolby Theatre for the World Aids Day which was also known as "Keep The Promise" which was being sponsored by the AHF (Aids Healthcare Foundation). Once we got to the beautiful Dolby Theatre in which I have Never set foot in... More

We saw Trevor Noah here and it was an amazing show. The theater is really cool. There are lots of pictures from old Academy Awards ceremonies. The theater itself is beautiful. The seat were kind of small but not uncomfortably so. We sat up on the mezzanine but still had a pretty good view. There is a bar on each... More

Decided to take the tour with friends. Got to the box office just after it opened at 1000. This was thanksgiving weekend so it was pretty busy. It's an interesting venue, being the home of the Oscar ceremonies. However it lost a little as our guide, whilst a nice enough bloke, was obviously bored and the delivery of his commentary... More

This is a tour of the place the Oscars are awarded. See behind the scenes of the show you watch every year, Learn about the elevator to the press room, the two large rooms for celebrities to relax and have drinks in after winning. Then there is the hotel next door where many of them get ready and the winners... More

Staying in Hollywood

Neighbourhood Profile
Hollywood
Hollywood undoubtedly conjures up images of movie stars and high-end lifestyles, and to this day, tourists flock here from around the world to see the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame, Chinese Theatre and to catch a glimpse of the famed Hollywood sign up close. Celebrity impersonators and crowds give these areas the feeling of an amusement park while many clubs and hotels fill up around the weekends for late-night partying - the Hollywood club scene is a haven for thumping music and table-side bottle service. But parties aren’t the only way to enjoy this area, many visitors come to the neighborhood to sit back with a picnic to watch a performance at the Hollywood Bowl and those looking to stay fit trek along nature trails in the Hollywood hills and in Griffith Park.
