As the first cemetery in Hollywood, Hollywood Forever is both a historic landmark with many of Hollywood’s famous former stars and industry leaders, a tourist destination with roaming peacocks and ducks, beautifully maintained, and a location for outdoor films and musical entertainment in the evenings....More

I visited the Hollywood Forever Cemetery on the afternoon of Easter Sunday 2015. I was doing a driving tour of the area during my last day in the Los Angeles area. I was mostly interested in seeing the Toto memorial. I drove in the entrance...More

Drove thru and loved the beautiful scenery and foliage. Peacocks roamed around and didn't seem scared of people at all. We didn't pay for a map because you can look up the information online.

This is a beautiful place to visit for a respectful walk and escape from the hustle and bustle of Hollywood. Obviously it is a cemetery, not a tourist attraction, and you cannot expect it to be full of celebrity graves as the vast amount are...More

My boyfriend and I visited from Missouri. I love cemeteries, as I used to work at one, so I thought we would stop by. This is a beautiful cemetery with lots of West coast foliage. Photos only allowed of celebs' graves. You need a map...More

Considering where it is and the Hollywood mystique, I liked it! I didn't know about the Toto memorial. Mikey Rooney tomb was moving. Lots of Jewish plots and HUGE memorials! !!!!!! Peacocks all around. Free entrance.

This place was suggested after the Paramount Studios Tour. It’s situated just behind Paramount. It’s not too big, but big enough, with peacocks roaming the grounds ! There is a memorial to Hattie McDaniel and one for Toto ! Celeb graves include Art Pepper, Jayne...More

The grounds are beautiful. Peacocks strolling about the property are beautiful. It's just too large to take in if you only want to be there an hour or two. Spend the $5 on the map, it does help but I still had trouble finding people.

Whilst my wife and I are huge Ramones fans and always visit the resting places of Johnny and Dee Dee, I would stress that the cemetry offers hot sunshine and cool stone, reverence and respect ... always a place for reflection and prayer, not a...More

This is a beautiful cemetery that pays respectful homage to the dead. It's also the final home to many old Hollywood stars. As someone from the Midwest, I was expecting something a bit different, a bit more like the rural cemeteries of the Midwest and...More

Hollywood undoubtedly conjures up images of movie
stars and high-end lifestyles, and to this day,
tourists flock here from around the world to see the
iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame, Chinese Theatre and to
catch a glimpse of the famed Hollywood sign up close.
Celebrity impersonators and crowds give these areas
the feeling of an amusement park while many clubs and
hotels fill up around the weekends for late-night

There is no need for a tour. You can just walk at your own pace. You can do some research online at their website.
